Prologue

“Master, everything is settled”.

“Perfect. Without any objections, I can finally put my plan in action and take that damn kingdom once it for all!”

A man with a sinister grin spoke as he observed the enemy’s kingdom map. The latter kept laughing to himself as another soldier knocked the door and opened it to bring the news:

“Sir, the spy that you required is here.”

“A spy, Master Lee? But I thought we would take the Hwang’s kingdom directly since their forces are no match for us?

The confused servant frowned to his lord as the latter dismissed the soldier and added with venom in his voice:

“My dear servant, you don’t know everything about war strategy. You are right though. Our forces as a matter of fact, stomp on that despiteful kingdom in one a blink of an eye. However…”

His words died on his lips as he removed a picture, rather a very realistic painting from his pocket and throws on the table. He snickered wickedly as he completed:

“But it won’t be fun if we don’t make them suffer first. Before taking that rotten kingdom, we need to strike where it will hurt the most…”

The servant raised his eyebrows and saw an image of a beautiful young woman with a name on the corner of the paper [Hwang Miyoung – Hwang’s Kingdom Princess]. The latter giggled despitefully and added:

“Master, you are such a genius! The people love their princess. They would be lost without her!”

“I know. That stupid king will do absolutely anything to save his precious daughter… Hahahaha!”

A sudden knock on the door halted his evil laughter as the high master sat on his elegant chair and prompted:

“Come in”.

The door was opened at last only to reveal a good looking man dressed on his navy blue military uniform. The latter kept his cold façade and saluted his superior asking into a not so lively tone:

“Excuse me, sir. Did you want to talk with me?”

“Oh, sure sure. Lieutenant Jung, I have a very important mission for you. I am impressed by your infiltrations skills and your superiors talked highly of you”.

Although his HQ’s colleagues would be ecstatic to be summoned by the regent himself, secretly, the Jung never really saw this wicked man as his superior. However, he had to keep his thoughts to himself or else his life and family would be in danger. He nodded and answered into an indifferent tone:

“I was only doing my job, sir.”

He took a deep breath and pressed on:

“What would it be my assignment?”

The regent grinned like a maniac and swiftly pointed to the painting above the war table. The Lieutenant Jung raised a brown and carefully took the paper. For a moment, he felt his breathing halt. He never saw such a beautiful woman. There was something in her eyes and it drawn him to look further. Nonetheless, the wicked man’s laughter interrupted his inner thoughts as he confessed:

“Beautiful, isn’t?”

“I don’t understand, sir.”

The confused Jung frowned as he placed the painting back on the wooden table. Yet, all of a sudden, the regent Lee pulled a knife from his sleeve and thrown on the picture, aiming at the princess’s heart. Jung almost jolted in surprise if it wasn’t for his fierce composure before such sick man. The latter finally dropped the bomb with his sinister voice:

“Princess Hwang. She is your target.”

A/n: So, what do you guys think? I want to know your ideas. Yes, its me again. I know its been a while since I wrote something, but I have this story in mind for years. I would write right after "I got married to a K-Pop princess", yet you guys know what happened on that time. I have this huge mental block for years, but due this pandemic times I decided to revisit my stories. Then, the ideas came back to mind once more. I wont lie to you, my routine is pretty hectic nowadays so I wont be able to update very often. However, if you really enjoy this story, I will make an effort to keep going.
