stu(dying)“Hyukjae.” The man squeaked at the sound of his name and tried running the other direction. But Hyukjae wasn’t at his best state right now, nor has he been at his best state for a while. Maybe an entire week? Has it been months?? Either way, that must be the reason Yesung was able to catch up to him and block his path.
“Hyung!” Hyukjae grinned at his one year sunbae in this goddamn school. “I didn’t see you there!”
“You run away everytime I call you.” Yesung said in an accusing tone of voice. “You’ve been avoiding me. Why is that?”
“Whaaaat?? I have not.” Hyukjae asked, but he internally cursed his inability to lie. Even he could tell that his high-pitched tone was a dead giveaway. He was practically caught red handed at this point. “I’ve just been busy!” He tried to defend himself, but he is very, very weak.
It must have been obvious since Yesung’s narrowed eyes suddenly turned worried. “Have you been eating enough? Do you rest?” His hands were suddenly on Hyukjae’s cheeks. “Look at you, you’re so pale right now…”
Hyukjae forced himself to take a step back despite wanting to melt right now because those hands were so soft and warm and has Hyukjae mentioned he has the biggest crush on this particular human being?
“Stop, stop, I’m fine.” Hyukjae rubbed his eyes and slightly slapped his own cheeks, if only to cover up the fact that he could feel himself blushing. “I need to go. I have a study group.”
“A study group?” Yesung repeated, and Hyukjae could hear the pout in his voice. “You usually reviewed with me, though…”
Noooooo, this wasn’t how it’s supposed to go. Hyukjae cannot look at him. He cannot. He cannot.
He looked. Yesung was now looking down at his shoes, looking adorably sad and Hyukjae mourned the fact he couldn’t pull
