Myungsoo locked eyes with Hyeri, his eyes never leaving hers as he observed her every action. “Myung, I can’t eat when you’re staring at me like that,” she wouldn’t mind his stares, but it was kind of disturbing that day. He was staring more hardly.

“Sorry,” he burst into chuckles and Hyeri raised a questioning eyebrow. He had been acting very strange. He wouldn’t stop looking at her and letting out huge sighs in between every now and then. 

"Ri, have you ever wondered what would happen if we're separated apart?" Myungsoo glanced anxiously at her. She frowned in response. That was one tough question. But why was he asking such a random question out of nowhere? Something unpleasant must have taken place during photography class. 

“What do you mean?” Hyeri stopped eating and placed down her utensils. She eyed at him with curiousity. 

“I mean, what if, you know, I leav—”

“Myung,” she cut him off. Something was up, she knew it right away. She could read him that easily. But sometimes, he was hard a hard nut to crack. And usually, he wasn’t easy to read at all. That day was just off. “What’s wrong?” she placed her hand on top of his. She nudged her head, giving him the queue to spill.

Myungsoo remained quiet for a moment. He didn’t know where to start or what to say. He didn’t want her to be hurt either.

“It’s nothing.”

“Kim Myungsoo,” Hyeri threatened, her voice was stern. He should know that she was losing her patience. She only used his full name in demand.

“I love you, Hyeri. You know that right?”

She softened completely like butter. I love you, Hyeri. I love you, I love you, I love you. She tried hard to bit back her smile but failed. But she knew something wasn’t right. She knew he wouldn’t randomly tell her that.

“Come on, dude. You can tell me,” she gave him an encouraging smile but there was no change in his expression. As stiff and hard as ever. Since her threat wasn’t working on him, she decided to encourage him to tell her. Yeah, Hyeri was getting more impatient each second.

“I’ve been given a scholarship overseas and I’m leaving…..”
