hi! haven't written seulrene in so long that when i saw a tweet about Irene being the White Lady of Balete Drive, i immediately wanted to write it.

this is actually based on a Filipino urban legend of the White Lady of Balete Drive, but i tried my best to make it easy to understand especially to those who aren't familiar with Filipino folk tales and such. just to avoid confusion, i listed terms that may help understand the story better :)

White Lady - is a type of female ghost that is typically dressed in white and haunts often areas of tragedy (in many cases, such are places where they have died). 

Balete / Balete Drive - a two-lane street in Manila, Philippines where an urban legend of a white lady is popular (note that this is a place, big letter B).

balete - a species of tree that is often characterized as having very big brances and thick foliage (note that this is a tree, small letter b).
