Hyejoo admits that this was sudden, way too sudden, but she doesn’t think too much about it, so here she is, waiting in front of her girlfriend’s home. She waits patiently for the older to see her text message.

It doesn’t take long for the older to reply as Hyejoo continues to lean on her car. She’s aware that it’s already late at night but she doesn’t care. It didn’t matter to her whether she would be scolded or not, she just wanted to see the older. She was glad that her girlfriend hadn’t gone to bed yet or else her effort of coming here would be wasted. Seeing the message that her girlfriend was already on her way to the front door, she stood properly and waits for Chaewon.

Hearing the front door opening she looks up and sees her girlfriend walking quickly. “I thought we were leaving tomorrow?” She whispers, the bag that she was bringing looked heavy so Hyejoo grabbed the bag before wearing it. “Well, change of plans.” She grinned before opening the door for girlfriend. Chaewon rolled her eyes as she entered the car. Hyejoo quickly went to the back seat to place down Chaewon’s bag next to hers before returning to the driver’s seat.

“Is the place we’re going that far that we’re leaving around,” Chaewon looks at the time on her phone to check the time. “11:46 pm?” She finishes before grabbing the aux cord to play some songs. Hyejoo scoffs before starting the car. “ I haven’t even started the engine.” Hyejoo teases when she watches her girlfriend looking confused as to why she couldn’t hear the music she was randomly picking. Hyejoo laughs as she the air condition. Her girlfriend rolled her eyes before she was looking for a song to play.

“God you better play something that fits the atmosphere.” Hyejoo glances at her girlfriend who was too focused on picking the song. Shaking her head, they eventually leave and were on their way to the main road.

Thankfully Chaewon had played songs that actually fit the atmosphere, both humming along to whatever song was playing. Their hands intertwined, only letting go when needed. Hyejoo hums as she kisses Chaewon’s knuckles. Chaewon couldn’t help but smile as she leans towards Hyejoo. “Where are we going?” Chaewon asks, glancing at Hyejoo who only glanced at her for a second before focusing on the road again. “I never thought about that.” She admits before letting out a chuckle. Chaewon gasps as she stares at her girlfriend. “WAIT SO YOU DON’T KNOW WHERE WE’RE GOING?” Hyejoo grimaces at the sudden raise of Chaewon’s voice.

“Technically I do know where we’re going but the place we were supposed to go was something that I didn’t plan.” Hyejoo explains as they slow down when she had seen the red light. “What happened to the plans we planned days ago?” Chaewon asks as she unlocks her phone, to probably show Hyejoo their plans that they planned.

“See! It says here ‘Go to Namsan Tower’ and there’s also ‘Go to Lotte World’ and so much more.” Chaewon states before showing Hyejoo her phone. “Chae, we’ve done all of those though?” Hyejoo says, her eyes not being able to look at Chaewon’s phone since it was already a green light, but on her peripheral view she could see her girlfriend pouting. This made her chuckle. “Alright fine, we’ll do them later. I promise.” Hyejoo finds her hands on Chaewon’s as she squeezes it, this reassured Chaewon that Hyejoo would do what she had promises. A smile is painted on their faces as they aimless went to where the road would take them.

Hyejoo was about to say something when she had noticed her girlfriend was quiet. Looking at Chaewon, she saw that she was asleep. She smiles and takes off her jacket to drape it on Chaewon’s shoulders in case she would feel cold. At this point Hyejoo was confused as to where they were going, but even if she was lost, she didn’t mind at least Chaewon was with her.

Late-night trips without any sense of direction was nothing new between the two. If they were together they wouldn’t mind getting lost for a few minutes, after all just having each other’s company was already enough.

It was already 2 am and Hyejoo had found a place to park the car to take a break. “Where are we exactly?” Chaewon asks as she stood beside Hyejoo who was taking pictures of the view. To be honest she doesn’t know where they are, all she knows is which road she should take so they wouldn’t get lost on their way home. “I don’t know.” Hyejoo replies while checking the pictures that she took. “I swear if,” Chaewon starts talking and Hyejoo looks at her to let Chaewon know that she had all her attention. “We won’t be able to go home all because we got lost, I’m throwing hands.” Hyejoo laughs. “As if your weak hands would do anything.” Hyejoo teased and Chaewon crossed her arms before looking back at the view.

“The view,” Chaewon whispers softly, “its surprisingly beautiful.”

“Honestly Chae, anywhere with you just makes everything beautiful.” Hyejoo admits and Chaewon felt her cheeks heating up with what Hyejoo had just said. She covers her face using her palms and Hyejoo couldn’t help but smile softly as she watches her girlfriend become even more shy. “It’s very strange of you to be this shy, Chae.” Hyejoo teases her even more and Chaewon whines before playfully throwing punches at Hyejoo.

“How are you so good with words?”

“I’m not that good with words, but I do mean it Chae. Anywhere with you is perfect.” Just when Chaewon thought her face couldn’t get any redder, she swears at this point if it was possible there would be smoke coming out her ears not because she was mad but because she’s too flustered to even think.

“Let’s just… Go back…” Chaewon stammered and wanted to slap some sense into her for stammering. Hyejoo always finds this side of Chaewon amusing. She was so used to her girlfriend being sassy and to see her this flustered was surely something new. Hyejoo is well-aware that this had happened so many times already but she is always caught off guard whenever it happens. “You want to head home already?” Hyejoo asks, she plays with Chaewon’s hand while looking at her straight in the eyes. “I don’t.” Chaewon giggles and looks at their intertwined hands. “I want to spend more time with you.” She smiles and Hyejoo swears she’s falling for her all over again. As if this was the first time that she fell for the older. As if this was the first time that they went out together.

“Well then, let’s go back to the car so we can look for other places to rest, yeah?” Hyejoo suggests and Chaewon nods before running. “Last person to reach the car has to treat the other food!” She exclaimed and Hyejoo runs after her. “You’re so unfair Chae!” Hyejoo complains, but deep down she knows she would still treat the older.

Chaewon looks back and smiles at her, and Hyejoo slows down letting Chaewon win on purpose. “Hye, come on! You lost so its your treat!”

Hyejoo shakes her head before she continued to run again.
