Some helpful term you can skip if you’re familiar with Harry Potter world (source: various sources from Google)

Quidditch: the premier sport of the wizarding world; a fast, dangerous, exciting game in which two teams flying on brooms compete for points scored by throwing a ball – the Quaffle – through hoops on either end of a large grassy pitch.

Chaser: control the Quaffle and attempt to get it through the goal hoops past the Keeper.

Seeker: must catch the Golden Snitch (super small ball with wings). A game did not end until the Seeker caught the Snitch. A team whose Seeker caught the Snitch received 150 points, which almost always won the match for that team.

Bludger: a black iron ball, which was bewitched to fly around and try to knock the players off of their broomsticks.

Seer: a gifted wizard or witch who had the ability to see into the future with their Inner Eye.

Divination: a branch of magic that involved attempting to foresee the future, or gather insights into past, present and future events, through various rituals and tools.

Muggle: a person who lacks any sort of magical ability and was not born in a magical family.

Houses in Hogwarts

Gryffindor values courage, bravery, nerve, and chivalry.

Slytherin tended to be ambitious, shrewd, cunning, strong leaders, and achievement-oriented.

Hufflepuff are known for being trustworthy, loyal and hardworking.

Ravenclaw values intelligence, learning, wisdom and wit.
