Humming to the song that was currently playing while Chaewon was fast asleep in Yena’s arms. They surprisingly had free time, away from their work, away from their usual hectic schedule, away from all those sleepless nights. Noticing that the younger had shifted a bit Yena loosened her hold on Chaewon in case she wanted to move but she ended up giggling as she noticed the younger scooting even closer to her, occupying the remaining space that they thought it wouldn’t be possible.

Chaewon used to dislike cuddling, she didn’t want anyone to think that she was a soft person, but after that time when she had accidentally fallen asleep in Yena’s arms she started to reconsider that maybe cuddling wasn’t such a bad thing.

Yena would often play the ring that fit perfectly on Chaewon’s ring finger, it was their promise ring. They both have been wearing it since high school.

Yena remembers it clearly as to how she managed to melt the heart of the school’s cold-hearted Student Council President.

“Tell me why you’re here again? Oh wait, I don’t care.” She scoffs as she sits down on her chair. Receiving nothing but silence from the student in front of her was strange. She was used to this student being loud every time she would be sent here.

“Kim Chaewon, go out with me.”

“Excuse me what?”

“Go out with me. You and me, tomorrow at 12 pm at Enozi Café. My treat.”

“I’m a busy person, Kang Hyewon.” She glares at the student, or Hyewon who could only sigh.

“Well at least I tried, see you around Chaewon.” She bows before leaving the room. Chaewon shook her head as she starts working on the papers again.

The school festival was coming up and with all the classes’ passing their forms waiting for it to be approved was not an easy task for Chaewon.

Hearing the door knock she instinctively look at the person who peeked their head inside the room. Knowing who it was Chaewon rolled her eyes before ushering the person to come in.

“Alright who did you prank again?” She joked. This side of Chaewon was a rare sight, it’s not often that you would see her joke around so this student was extremely special.

“Hey! I’m not always here because I pranked someone!”

Chaewon wasn’t buying that excuse she knows that the older had pranked another student or perhaps even a teacher.

Knowing that Chaewon wouldn’t believe her, she sighed before telling her the truth.

“I’m here because I told the teacher that their wig was looking awkward, but when I went to adjust it, I accidentally grabbed the entire thing.”

“…”

Suddenly the room was filled with laughter. It wasn’t from the student who sent to the Student Council but instead it was from Chaewon. This was enough to melt the person on the spot.

“God why are you like this, Yena.” Wiping the tears that were spilling from her eyes, this time the student was laughing with her.

“And perhaps I did it on purpose just so I can see you.”

“Once again, why are you like this.” Shaking her head as she leaned on her chair before letting out a long yawn. “Want me to help?” Yena glanced at the papers that were organized per year and section but Chaewon dismissed the idea before stretching.

“Wake me up after 10 minutes, I’m so sleep deprived.” Chaewon sighed before walking towards the couch that was near her table. Yena nodded before walking towards the door to lock it.

“Also, I saw Kang Hyewon walk out looking defeated. Guess you rejected her, huh? Why though?”

“Just how dumb are you?”

“Huh?? Girl I breathed why are you suddenly like this now move over I wanna lay down too.”

“Excuse me?? There are other couches that you can lay down this is my spot.”

“Well, it’s our spot now, ssamu.”

“Our spot? What’s that supposed to mean, duckie?”

“Cuddles!”

“No! Get away! I hate cuddling!” Chaewon protested but it seemed like Yena had already pulled her closer to her body.

‘She’s warm..’

Chaewon thought as she eventually let herself let loose in Yena’s arms.

‘Perhaps I wouldn’t mind sharing this spot.’

She thought before letting her eyes close and eventually fell asleep.

“Can’t believe you’re only like this with me, I feel so honored.” Yena joked before setting a timer so she can follow Chaewon into dreamland.

Yena smiles at the memory that they shared years ago, glancing at Chaewon who was still asleep she couldn’t help but pinch her cheeks, this made Chaewon complain.

“Stop that.” Chaewon whispered but Yena didn’t stop and continued pinching her girlfriend’s cheeks. This time Chaewon was already wide awake and was playfully punching Yena. “You’re just so cute.” She teased before kissing her forehead.

“Just why did I say yes to you back in high school?”

“I should be saying that! You were the one who asked me out!” Yena complained and her girlfriend sat up before thinking long and hard.

“Wait what…”

“Do you not remember?”

Chaewon was having those days again, those days where she just wanted to sleep after the countless of nights spent all on projects and school fees. Checking the time, she abruptly stood up before wearing Yena’s hoodie and grabbing her phone.

She knows it was already late at night but she was sure that Yena was awake. The girl barely sleeps and yet she still looks like she got full rest.

Running, she didn’t stop running to where Yena’s place was, although she was considered as the perfect student there was one thing she at and it was her stamina. Eventually she was already tired, she wanted to stop but she was just so close.

Finally arriving at Yena’s place she quickly grabbed her phone to call Yena.

Breathing heavily, she waited for Yena to answer the call.

Hello? Chae? It’s already 3 am why are you calling me? Are you okay why are you breathing heavily?

And as always Yena was worried about Chaewon again and this made her heart skip a beat.

Outside. Look outside..
 

Yena quickly stood up as she went towards her window. There she saw Chaewon waving at her and telling her to come downstairs.
 

Why are you here? I thought you were busy?

Just get your here Choi Yena before I leave.

Yes ma’am.

 

Opening the front door, Yena was taken aback when Chaewon jumped into her arms. “Whoa what’s with sudden visit and the sudden hug?”

“I just miss you that’s all.” Chaewon admitted while nuzzling her nose on Yena’s neck. “Girl are you sure you’re not drunk or something?” Yena joked but she knew that Chaewon wasn’t joking around.

“Go out with me, Yena.”

“W-what..???” Yena choked on her own saliva as she tried to process what she had heard from the younger.

“That’s what happened years ago.” Yena crossed her arms as she finished her narration as to what happened back in high school and hoped that Chaewon would remember but Chaewon shook her head.

“I’m pretty sure it was you who asked me out… Because here’s what I remember,” and so Chaewon starts explaining as to what she thinks happened.

They were both inside the president’s room, the older had tried to help her with student council work but ended up giving up and would only just sit beside the younger and would casually play with her hair or hold her hand.

“Do you want me to go so you can focus here?” Yena suggested but Chaewon shook her head before pulling Yena even closer.

“Clingy, aren’t you?” She teased and received no response from Chaewon, noticing that Chaewon was busy she decided to just rest her head on Chaewon’s shoulder.

“I know you’re busy these days but you want to go on a date with me?” Yena blurted out and this made Chaewon stop writing. Glancing at Yena to see if she was joking but realizing that Yena was serious she felt her face heating up before breaking the eye contact first.

“I’ll.. think about it..”

“That’s how I remember it.” Chaewon was now back in Yena’s arms as she snuggled closer.

“Our stories are so different what…” Yena whispered and Chaewon glanced at her before leaving a quick peck on the lips. Yena who was too stunned with the sudden action that Chaewon couldn’t help but giggle

“What matters is we’re together now.” Chaewon

“But doesn’t it make you feel curious?” Yena asks as she pulls Chaewon closer.

“What really happened back in high school?”

Both started laughing before deciding that it was time to go back to sleep.

“What ever happened before, I’m glad it happened.” Yena admitted and Chaewon giggled.

“I’m glad it happened too.”

And so they both closed their eyes as they both went to sleep while dreaming of each other.
