22 days before

The sky was gray and it was about to snow. We agreed to meet up later that day at our usual place. I readied myself; red long sleeves, black skinny’s, light brown winter boots and a coat with almost the same colour. I wore my hair down and put on some earmuffs and a knitted beanie, slipped on gray gloves and checked the mirror. All set.

Before leaving, I checked one more time if I’ve forgotten anything and I’ve realized I did. Silly me. I went back to my room and picked up my keys and some papers. I went back down and got excited all of a sudden. You ready? I texted you. Well, I wasn’t really expecting a reply afterwards but you did. Almost, just finishing up some things. Order something hot before we meet up, this might take a while. I nodded out of habit and replied an Okay, take care. See you soon. before tucking the phone in the coat’s pocket and locking my door from behind.
