Ex, Why, Z’s
“Why do you hate mint chocolate so much?” Wendy finally heard the voice from the other line.
“How many times did we have this conversation?” Wendy groggily answered. She looked at the time. It’s was half past two in the morning.
“It tastes really good though. Anyway, the stars look pretty tonight. But it’s cold,” she heard the tremors in her voice from the other line.
“Don’t you have a jacket with you?” Wendy asked as she rubbed her eyes, sitting up and resting her back on her headboard.
“I do, but it’s a bit windy. Get that? Windy? Wendy? Oh hey, they opened a new store,” Wendy her bedside lamp to fight her sleep. She sighed. They’re not supposed to have this conversation in the middle of the night. They’re not supposed to have any conversation at all.
“I think you’ll look pwetty with thwat dwess—“
“Jen, please go home,” Wendy closed her eyes and pinched the bridge of her nose. “But unnniie,” the other line slurred a little. She knows Jennie’s drunk and she’s out there somewhere swaying on the side walk and she hopes the girl is not drunk enough to get herself in trouble.
“Stay where you are. I’ll call your members to pick you up—“ Wendy heard a giggle that made her stop midway.
“Stay. I should’ve done that, right? Stay. With you.”
Wendy sighed internally. She can’t believe they're having this conversation right now.
