HAPPY BIRTHDAY MINHO

Pacing the long, narrow hallway, hands stuffed tightly in his pockets, deep frown set on his handsome face, Minho huffed out a sigh, a quiet, sad sound echoing and bouncing off the walls

"Why has no one remembered?" the sound of his own voice made him jump. He had never felt so alone, so solitary and on his birthday too, it just made the whole day even more for the charismatic man.

He thought at least s would remember, but not even one of them had congratulated him on turning another year older when he woke up this morning, even their manager seemed to have a case of 'memory gone awry' today.

It hurt that his boys had forgotten, it really did, it was like a knife in his chest that they could let that important a date, easily slip their minds, especially Jinki, seen as his birthday was a mere five days after Minho's own, but none of that upset him even half as much as the knowledge that HE had forgotten, Nichkhun, Minho's Nichkhun.

Of all the people to have "misplaced their minds" that day, why did one of them have to be his lover?

His heart felt like it was weeping within his chest, he couldn't hide the sadness he felt inside, his face was a dead give away that his emotions were in turmoil. Even if Nichkhun had showed up today at SHINee's apartment like they had originally planned, Minho could throw out hints and try some attempt at hiding his disappointment and having a good day afterall, but even that much didn't look likely. They had agreed that Nichkhun would arrive at 12 noon, it was already 1pm and all his bandmates had mysteriously disappeared, so that left him totally alone. On the one day you should spend with the people you love most, celebrating the years that have passed since you arrived on this planet. He was so depressed.

Fidgeting with his phone, glancing down at the unlit screen every few seconds to reassure himself that his boyfriend, or anyone else for that matter wasn't trying to call him, Minho his heels to re-enter his apartment, anger bubbling within his chest, when he heard the sound of someone loudly clearing their throat behind him. He turned to face the one who had made the sound, his jaw fell open and his eyes widened.

Nichkhun

Standing there, big goofy grin on his beautiful lips, hands behind his back and look of child like innocence spread right across his perfect face, the older man whispered just loud enough for the two of them to hear

"And just what are you doing here, wearing out the hall floor with your constant pacing?"

Minho was gaping like a fish out of water, he couldn't believe his lover had shown up, just when he he had given up hope of spending the day with anyone

"Waiting for you" Minho almost stuttered as he spoke

"Ah, i hear its someone's birthday today" Nichkhun sing-songed

His younger lover nodded, a grin slowly spreading across his mouth

"Well" Nichkhun took a step closer to his dongsaeng, "I also hear that no one is home"

Confusion crossed Minho's features "How did you...."

"Because" his hyung cut him off, "I know where they are"

"You do?"

Nichkhun nodded "And, i'm going to take you to them, but first, i have a gift for you"

Minho's eyes lit up like a child's on Christmas morning. He closed the gap between him and his lover, until they were face to face, nose's almost touching

"What did you get me?" he reached his hands out, trying to grab whatever it was that his hyung was hiding behind his back. Nichkhun laughed

"Be patient"

Minho huffed out his annoyance, causing his lover's smile to widen

"Close your eyes" Nichkhun whispered, his breath ghosting over Minho's face. No sooner were the words out of the older man's mouth, than his dongsaeng had complied.

A little bit of rustling later and no peeking from the younger man, Nichkhun spoke

"Okay, open up"

Minho's eyes sprang open and went straight to his hyungs empty hands. Empty? Wait, but.....

"Higher" Nichkhun laughed

The younger man's eyes glanced up towards his hyungs face, before a flash of light blue caught his attention, right at the top of Nichkhun's head

A big blue ribbon, tied neatly in a bow was sat atop the Thai/Chinese man's head. Minhos' brow furrowed

"I'm your gift" Nichkhun clarified

Not two seconds after the older man had made his statement, he was grabbed round the wrist and pulled towards SHINee's apartment

"Wait, i have to take you to your party" he protested

Hearing no reply, he tried again

"Minho, people are waiting for us"

The younger man stopped dead in his tracks, turned to face his lover before pressing his lips hard against the others, pushing him back and into the cold, brick wall as his tongue s out to swipe across Nichkhun's plump bottom lip, demanding entrance. The older man opened his mouth, his own hot wet muscle sliding out to meet Minho's. Just as they touched for a mere second, Minho pulled back, his lust filled eyes meeting with his lovers, now wide open and shocked ones

"I don't care, its my birthday and i'm unwrapping my present before i go anywhere else today, got it?"

Nichkhun nodded.
