Hyewon sighed, checking her gig bag lying on the bench beside her. She sipped the coffee that she brought earlier from the shop near her place. Her eyes darted to the crowd walking around the busy park where different ages of people have gathered around, understandable since it’s Sunday – it’s a free day. She looks up to the sky, only to be met by the gray colors filling her vision. A soft chuckle escaped her lips, she’s living her whole life with those annoying shades of gray – it’s kind of empty & dull feeling. Though she’s used to living with it, it’s the same world after all.

It’s nothing silly for her, not for the fact that her friends already found someone who’ll bring colors in their life – putting an end with those dull gray colors. Twenty-one years living her life with her eyes could only see the world in the shades of dullness. Yeah, it’s nothing serious for her but the emptiness and tediousness she’s feeling is undeniable – after her friends found their other half.

Will it be silly for her to wish she could also find her soulmate? Besides, she wants to feel exactly how to see the world filled with the variation of bright shades of emotion. Hyewon just wanna see the world in different shades of colors – not just gray.

“Kwangbae!” A loud annoying voice cut her off from being an emotional dummy. Hyewon squinted her eyes to find the owner of that loud voice, it was hard finding her best friend since her vision could only see one shade. But soon enough, she spotted her figure getting near towards her place. Hyewon put a small smile seeing Yena – her best friend, with her long time girlfriend, Jo Yuri. The two quickly hit it off after seeing each other – it’s like they’re made for each other, their relationship is quite simple and isn’t complicated, unlike her other friend. Yena must be someone who saves the world in her past life to be this lucky in her life.

“I’m sorry, have you been waiting for a long time?” Yena asked, panting heavily as her other hand was tightly held by her girlfriend.

“We got stuck in traffic,” Yuri added, wiping the little sweats formed on her lover’s forehead. Hyewon tried hard not to cringe at that sight, they’re together for a long time but she is still not used to their sweet gesture especially her best friend – who’s known to be someone who hates being sweet, but now being soft because of Yuri.

“Yeah, real love changes a person,” Hyewon murmured, getting disgusted from Yena being sweet to her girlfriend, “How about Yujin and Chaeyeon? Where are those two?” She asked about her two other friends, trying to stop Yena from being even more flirty.

“Yujin’s on her way, while Chaeyeon picked up Sakura,” Yena said, her duck lips standing out from speaking. “But, I’m glad you agree to do this again with us,” Her best friend added, about playing music as a band again.

Well, Hyewon’s in a band with her friend – it’s their dream, they achieved it but after years of playing she quitted for some reason. Her friends understand and respect her decision – even if they didn’t want to end their band.

Yujin is their vocalist and the rhythm guitarist, Hyewon plays the bass guitar, Yena’s the drummer, and Chaeyeon plays the keyboard & a synthesist – mad respect, since it’s a hard task playing two instruments at the same time. Yuri plays guitar and has a magnificent voice – she’s their other vocalist and guitarist.

Hyewon couldn’t help but roll her eyes. She wasn’t informed that her friends will bring their girlfriends with them – she isn’t angry. Luckily, Yujin doesn’t have a girlfriend, or else she would look like a seventh wheel.

Her eyes darted to her wristwatch, “Let’s go,” she said, she doesn’t wanna put her time to waste by being late – courtesy of Chaeyeon. It’s their first time playing as a band again after years of Hyewon quitted. Maybe, doing something that she loves again will make her alive and happy.

 * * *

“We’ll play basic songs. Ready to play again?”

Hyewon turns to Chaeyeon who popped out beside her, she shrugs her shoulder before checking her bass guitar. It feels familiar holding her instrument yet foreign at the same time. She’s thankful that there’s no damage on it considering that it’s in her room – untouched for some years.

“We practiced yesterday,” Yujin stated, “It’s going to be fine, Kwangbae,” she added, wearing the guitar straps around her body with Sakura’s help. The short-haired girl has been their manager – a silent agreement since the older helps them with their gig. The Japanese girl also owns the bar that their playing in.

“You can do it, Hyewon,” Sakura said softly, going beside her girlfriend after helping Yujin.

“Yeah unnie, we got you,” Yuri grinned as she wears her guitar around her, “Yeah, we got your back,” Yena added, holding her drum sticks while wearing a smug grin.

Hyewon breathes deeply – thankful, for the support she’s getting from her circle. She wrapped her guitar straps on her body, ignoring the nervousness gushing in her system before releasing a small smile,

“Yeah, let’s go.”

* * *

“And we’re down to our last song,” Yujin said energetically at the microphone. Upon hearing her statement, some audiences express sadness since this will be the last one tonight. Even though they stopped playing for a while, it’s undeniable that the audience is still fond of them despite them leaving.

Hyewon feels overwhelmed staring at the crowd, something inside her ignites but it still feels incomplete. She wiped the sweats on her forehead with the back of her hand and stared at her bass guitar.

“For our last song, please enjoy this one,” Yuri added before they started playing again.

Hyewon felt the shivers run down her spine after hearing the familiar melody of the song. It’s so familiar that she felt her story is being narrated by the song.

I am suffocating and
I am alone in a deep tunnel
That swallows the light
In my road ahead
That is unseen and pitch-black
I don't see anything
I don't feel anything either

My image on the black and white photo
And my whole dark spreading world
I am so tired of them both
I'm now sick of it and bored

I am breathless until the end
I run alone in the deep ocean
That swallowed the stars

I stretch out my hand
Dye me like the red sunset light
So that you won't lose me
(Colors, Colors)

Hyewon stared at the crowd after their song finished, she balled her fist seeing people in gray colors – everything. The song hits her, it’s an exact description of how her life goes. She couldn’t help but feel annoyed and empty once again.

After thanking the audience, Hyewon quickly excused herself and made her way out of the bar to breathe. She looks up to the sky only to be greeted by the stars shining with gray colors. It made her sighed in frustration, can this be even called life when she can see the world in one shade of color? It isn’t, it’s a curse.

She groaned in annoyance as she kicks the empty can lying on the ground, sending it to the other side of the street.

“Seeing different shades of colors doesn’t also mean it will bring you happiness,”

Hyewon turns around to see Yujin walking towards her, the taller black-haired girl throws the canned beer to her – which she quickly catches, the younger then sits on the bench while she’s eyeing her.

“I’m sorry, you shouldn’t see me like that,” She chuckled softly, hiding the frustration in the depths of her system. Not wanting it to be revealed and show negative emotions.

Yujin flails her hand in the air, “Don’t apologize. Yena-unnie and Chaeyeon-unnie wanted to talk to you, but I stopped them because who knows they’ll just play around like kids with you. Also, I wanted to share things with you,” she added, gulping the orange drink Sakura gave her.

Hyewon raised her brows, “And that is?”

Yujin smiled softly staring at the night sky, “I understand how it feels seeing shades of gray for a long time,” She started, Hyewon keeps her eyes on the younger as listened intently, “It just sometimes depends on the timing. I’ve met my soulmate on a rainy day, I’m in hurry to catch a bus since it’s late at night. Due to my clumsiness, we bumped at each other.” The younger chuckled, she looked at Hyewon who seems listening well at her.

“Seconds after bumping to her and after meeting her eyes, colors started to fill my vision. My eyes widen at that time and she was also shocked after it happened. I see the surrounding with different colors that made me happy – also meeting her, but my smile fades away because a brunette girl came and holds her hand and when she faced her, I could see how her face brighten seeing the girl – it shines,” Yujin softly chuckles despite the small stinging in her chest from remembering that scene. She was so happy meeting her soulmate as her world started to color but who knew the time she met her soulmate would also make her heart shattered.

Hyewon nodded her head, gesturing for Yujin to continue. Of course, she knows Yujin’s story. She knew that Yujin’s soulmate loves someone else and they seem so happy even before meeting Yujin.

“Maybe that’s why I lived 18 years seeing gray colors because she’s already in love and happy, she didn’t bother finding me. Though I tried to ask her for a chance she said she couldn’t – even if I am her soulmate. Yeah, I let her go and be happy with who she loves.”

“I’m thankful to her because finally, I can see colors, but it’s making me empty from the fact that my soulmate is happy with someone else and she doesn’t wanna be with me,” Yujin chuckles, shrugging at the end since she couldn’t do anything about it, “Sometimes I keep thinking, it’s better if I didn’t meet her so I wouldn’t feel the emptiness doubling inside me. I wouldn’t feel incomplete since that day,”

Hyewon nodded her head, she understands the younger. One thing that in this world is when you met your soulmate but they don’t want to accept you because they are already in love with someone else before they even met you.

“Maybe meeting her – is the only part she plays in my life,” Yujin added.

They went in silence, staring at the moon who witnesses their form for tonight. The emotional, pained, and frustrated version of themselves.

“Yujin-ah, I wonder what’s the color of the sky in the morning,” Hyewon stated, staring at the night sky. A curious expression is written in her eyes. It suddenly pained Yujin from that simple and curious statement.

Yujin glances at her, “Blue light and the cotton-like scattered around is white, ”

“How about the sun?” She asked like an excited kid.

“It’s yellow in the morning. In the afternoon, it’s a bright yellow one that hurts the eyes because it shines so much. And when it sets, it has a color of orange and the skies turn into a shade of rose quartz and serenity. Sunset is a beautiful one, it brings different calmness to people.” Yujin explained.

Hyewon grinned, “I would love to stare at the sun, it’s one of my favorites,”

Yujin chuckles, “It will hurt your eyes,”

“Nah, a beautiful thing wouldn’t hurt my eyes,” Hyewon sighed softly, getting lost at the moon shining above her. Maybe, she shouldn’t be in hurry, she should just wait to see those colors.

And hope for pure happiness when that time comes.

* * *

Another day ended and another day started just the same – still shades of gray everywhere. Hyewon held the cup of Americano around her left hand, her right hand fixing the gig bag on her back which contains her bass guitar. The band decided to have a practice for today, now Hyewon managed to step outside again – miraculously, it has been five days after the last time she went out which is the time they play in Sakura’s bar for the first time again.

Hyewon looked at her phone when it vibrated, she checked the notification and it was from her best friend saying that they are already in Sakura’s bar except for Yujin. She shook her head, as expected to that kid. Hyewon focused on her steps, she stopped within the crowd waiting to cross the street. Since her vision is still gray, she’s waiting for other people to cross the street and go with them.

After some minutes people around her started to cross the street, Hyewon gripped her gig bag as she started to cross the street hurriedly – and carefully. She released a sigh of relief after she managed to go across the other side of the street. Her eyes darted to her wristwatch, there’s still a lot of time before their scheduled time for practice.

The blonde then takes a step only to found herself on the floor – lying on the ground, while her coffee spilled beside her. It happened so quickly, someone bumps their way into the crowd that she didn’t know how she ends up lying on the ground. Hyewon’s eyes then widened after remembering her bass guitar.

“Oh no!” She gasped, eyes full of worry seeing the gig bag on the ground. She could only pray that it didn’t have any damage. It’s her first bass guitar that she brought for herself after she started earning money. It’s making her blood boil just thinking of her baby getting a wound. A sudden person stopped in front of her gig bag, Hyewon saw those hands get it. Was it a thief ready to run away with her bass guitar? No! She can’t let it happen.

“Don’t...” Hyewon murmured, thinking it might be a thief.

The figure walks towards her way after dusting off her gig bag, Hyewon looks up only to see a girl smiling at her.

And then, colors started to fill her whole vision while having eye-contact with the short-haired girl. It feels like fireworks suddenly light up the sky after meeting her eyes.

It’s just how Yujin explained to her last night. Hyewon’s vision isn’t in the shade of gray colors, now it’s full of different colors. Her heart bursting with happiness and excitement at the same time. She could finally see the world in a variety of bright colors. This is what she has waiting for and it finally came to her.

“Woah,” Hyewon said in awe. Her eyes widening from surprise, still staring at the smiling girl on her front. All of her supposed to be madness faded away after seeing different shades of colors. She pinched herself to check if she’s hallucinating and it made her yelp lowly from the pain, it isn’t a dream – it’s reality.

“Are you okay?” The black short-haired girl asked, tilting her head to check if Hyewon’s still intact with the world. Since she has been formed in O for several minutes.

“You filled my world with colors,” Hyewon suddenly blurted out.

Her cheeks blushed furiously after realizing what came out from . She feels embarrassed because she saw how the girl gets taken aback by her words. Where did she even learn that? Forgive her but happiness is overflowing in her chest that she couldn’t stop herself from saying that.

“Did I?” The girl chuckled softly, grinning at her. “That’s a good thing to hear,”

“Let me help you,” The girl stated, lending her hand to Hyewon who’s still on the ground.

She then took her hand with her trembling one, when did she even lose her cool? Never except now. Hyewon chuckles nervously after feeling the delicate and soft hand of the short-haired girl.

“You’re pretty…I mean p-pretty kind for someone you don’t even know,” Hyewon smacks herself mentally from her stuttering mess. This wasn’t supposed to be like this. She never imagined meeting her soulmate and being an embarrassment.

“Here’s your gig bag,”

Hyewon took her bag from the girl, muttering a small thanks. She quickly checked her bass guitar and her face washed with relief when it’s completely okay.

The girl grinned at her, “You haven’t answered my question. Are you okay?”

“Yeah, I’m good,” She nodded her head furiously.

The short-haired girl nodded her head, staring at her. She realized that she’s taller than the girl. It made Hyewon get anxious from the stare she’s receiving – it’s unreadable. But the short-haired girl quickly smiled at her causing Hyewon scratch the back of her neck – speechless.

She cleared , “Miss, literally speaking, you fill my world with your colors.”

“So, you’re my soulmate?” She asked, her knees trembling from excitement.

The girl grinned at her, “You said it earlier.” She spoke softly showing those adorable gummy smile of hers. “I guess I am,” She added, her voice glint with small teasing.

Hyewon chuckles, completely forgetting how embarrassed she was earlier.

“I’m Kang Hyewon,” She introduced herself, lending her hand to the girl for a handshake.

The girl reaches for her hand, shaking Hyewon’s soft hands. It didn’t get unnoticed how the taller tried hard not to smile widely after holding her hand.

Is it supposed to be like this when meeting your soulmate? Is Hyewon supposed to feel the gushed of comfort and warmth just by this kind of contact? Because she is, right now.

“Kwon Eunbi,” said as she smiled.

“The one who filled your world with colors,”

Hyewon looked up to the sun, it’s a beautiful thing to stare at. One of the things she wanted to do when she sees colors. Then she looked back to Eunbi’s smiling face, will it be silly if she finds her smile more beautiful than the sun? Because it’s beautiful.

And she suddenly has the desire to see it more in the future.

* * *

“For real?!?”

Yena asked excitedly, spilling her orange drink after Hyewon blurted out the big news. She nodded her head excitedly, wrapping the guitar straps around her. She still couldn’t believe it happened today. The happiness is in her whole body that she couldn’t stop smiling.

“When?” Chaeyeon asked this time.

“Where is she?” Yujin followed a question.

Hyewon chuckled at her friends. They are excited as her. Well, they’re always like this after knowing one of them met their soulmate.

“After I crossed the street, someone bumped me and she was there. She picked up my bass guitar, I even assumed she’s a thief. When I met her eyes, colors started to spread everywhere. And something inside my chest tingles after seeing her.” Hyewon chuckles, the smile on her face as wide as if it will tear her face.

“No wonder you’re so bright after entering here,” Chaeyeon chuckles, completely happy for her friend.

Yena agreed, “Yeah, you’re shining! I’m so happy for you! Hug me, Kwangbae!” She grinned then went for a hug but Hyewon stopped her by glaring at her. Her best friend just rolled her eyes, Hyewon’s too stingy for a hug when it comes to her.

“Am I?” Hyewon chuckles, couldn’t hide her eyes smile. “Well, I’m happy because finally, I can see the world from a different view,”

“Unnie, is she not in a relationship or love with someone else?” Yujin asked, all of them turn their attention to her. Even Sakura who’s busy playing games glance at her.

Hyewon stopped in her tracks, “She’s alone when I met her and she doesn’t seem mad after knowing we are each other’s soulmate,”

Yujin then smiled after hearing that, “That’s good then, I’m happy for you,”

“Did you get her number?” Yena asked, settling herself on her seat while preparing her drums.

This time, Hyewon’s eyes widened – almost bulging out, she scratches her nape. She forgot about it, Yena noticed her expression that made her best friend facepalms.

“I forgot about it. She’s also in a hurry, so yeah…” She uttered.

“Then, how would you meet again?” Yuri asked, finally entering the talk.

“She said we’ll meet again,” Hyewon shrugs, that’s what Eunbi said before they go into separate ways earlier. And the way the short-haired girl said it was full of confidence that they will meet soon – without any communication and information about each other. Was that possible? Hyewon just shook off that idea.

“Without exchanging each other’s number nor information about meet up?” Chaeyeon asked she seems confused while looking at Hyewon.

She chuckles, “Weird, right? But she seems confident with it. So, I just need to see if it will happen just like what she said.”

Hyewon smiled softly before Yena hit the drum, they practiced happily as if they’re free from something, today’s day didn’t end the same just like yesterday.

Today Hyewon met her soulmate and the excitement on her couldn’t be gone just by the thought of meeting her again.

* * *

“One iced Americano,”

“That’s all?”

Hyewon nodded her head, she’s about to get her card for the payment but someone already did it. She glanced at the owner of the card and a surprised expression drawn quickly from her face after seeing Eunbi.

“Make it two,” Eunbi said softly then the cashier nodded her head. She looked at Hyewon and a chuckle came out from her after seeing the taller girl’s expression.

“Why are you so surprised about seeing me? I told you we’ll see each other again,” The short-haired girl grinned at her, nudging her shoulder, “Aren’t you glad I’m here?”

“Of course I am,” Hyewon quickly replied, Eunbi smirked at her causing a blush on her cheeks. “I mean, I am.” She said again, this time in monotone since the way she said it earlier is full of excitement.

“It took us five days to meet again. Sorry, I was kind of busy with work.” The short-haired girl said, getting her coffee and giving the other one to Hyewon. They took the table beside the entrance.

“Where do you work?”

“Up,”

Hyewon frowned at her response – completely clueless, she looked at Eunbi when the girl made a gesture of an airplane flying to the sky. It made her chuckle, this girl is such a dork.

“Wow, how many years?” She asked, sipping her drink. This wasn’t a bad idea to get to know her soulmate, they should know about each other, therefore this is a good thing.

Eunbi looked at her fingers, “Around three years?”

“That’s long,”

“How about you?”

“I’m in a band with my friends. We’re a regular in my friend’s bar, we play there during Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday.” Hyewon said, a sudden idea entered her mind, “We’ll play tomorrow there, do you want to watch?” She asked, her eyes full of hope that the girl will not reject her offer.

Eunbi chuckles, “Sure, I’m in a day off until tomorrow.”

Hyewon celebrated inside after Eunbi confirmed she will come. Maybe she can also introduce her to her friends tomorrow night. This is her first time inviting someone to watch them play, she’ll do her best to make Eunbi’s time worth it. So, she can invite her again.

She looked at Eunbi when the girl suddenly stands up and started collecting her things. Oh, she’s leaving, already? They haven’t even talked for an hour.

“Ya, don’t give me that face.” Eunbi chuckles after seeing the pouting face of Hyewon.

“You’re leaving?” She asked and sighed when the girl nodded.

“Sadly, I almost forgot about my sister. We’re going somewhere today.” Eunbi said, eyes full of regret since she couldn’t talk any longer to Hyewon for today, “As much as I wanna talk with you, I need to leave for now,” She added with a pout.

Don’t do that pout, Hyewon’s weak for someone cute like you.

Hyewon hummed, “Okay, but give me your number before you leave.” One thing she shouldn’t forget is the number or else she’s gonna wait again for days until they met accidentally.

Eunbi chuckles, reaching for Hyewon’s phone. The taller girl watched her type her number before giving it back with a smile.

“I’ll text you the address,” Hyewon smiled, “I’ll see you tomorrow, Eunbi,”

“Yeah, see you,”

Eunbi nodded her head before leaving, she even waves goodbye to her like a kid. She couldn’t help but laugh at her silliness.

* * *

The excitement on Hyewon’s face is noticeable while eyeing the entrance of Sakura’s bar. The smile on her face is reaching her ears while looking at her phone and waiting for Eunbi’s reply.

“Kwangbae, we’re performing in any minute, you ready?”

She looked at Yena who puts her arms over her shoulder. Her best friend squinted her eyes when she didn’t answer, Yena looked secretly at Hyewon’s phone and chuckled after seeing Hyewon’s continuous message to a girl named ‘Eunbi’.

“Is that her name?” Yena asked, grinning widely after Hyewon pushed her away for snooping on her phone.

“Let’s go, Chaeyeon’s already heading to the stage,” Yena nudges her shoulder to get her attention.

Hyewon glanced at her phone and to the door – hoping that Eunbi’s figure shows up.

“Chill, she said she will come. Let’s go,” Yena chuckled before pulling Hyewon with her.

The excitement on Hyewon’s face earlier is now replaced with worry. They’re playing their third song as her eyes tried to find Eunbi among the crowd – but got nothing.

Until their last song, Eunbi isn’t still there. Hyewon made sure to eye the entrance of the bar and didn’t let any person passed her eyes, thinking it would be the short-haired girl.

“Are you okay?” Yena asked, seeing her friend dejected while putting her bass guitar inside her gig bag.

“I’m fine,” Hyewon managed to say, putting her gig bag on her back then headed to the counter to get water while Yena’s following her. Her friends can see the disappointment on her face and Yena’s trying to talk to her.

“Let’s have dinner,” Yena suggested, trying to lift Hyewon’s mood. “My treat!”

She shook her head, “I’m tired, I’ll go home. Maybe next time,”

Hyewon then left without waiting for Yena to answer. She looked at her phone expecting a reply from Eunbi but it’s just her message asking where is she.

Even when they finished performing, there’s no sight of the girl. She doesn’t even reply to Hyewon’s messages and calls.

Eunbi didn’t come.

* * *

Hyewon released a frustrated sigh, she closed her phone and placed it on the table. She looked at the people walking around the street from her table – currently, she’s in the café where she always goes and met Eunbi five days ago. Yes, five days ago since their last talk and she hasn’t heard anything from the girl.

“What’s with the long face, huh?”

She looked at her best friend, she shook her head at that point pay her attention outside. Yena rolled her eyes before placing her order on their table and take a seat.

“You looked annoyed and frustrated, Kang Hyewon,” Yena stated, her voice came out in a serious tone that made Hyewon to looked at her – also because she called her full name. It’s a big deal once Choi Yena called you in your full name.

Hyewon sighed, “It’s just…I feel stupid,”

Yena frowned, “And why is that?”

Hyewon looked at her before rubbing her face out of frustration,

“I feel stupid because I’m acting like I’m a different person when it comes to her. I feel stupid because I just met Eunbi recently and I am acting like someone that – uh! I don’t know, it’s just that I shouldn’t go and act like that around Eunbi,” She groans, huffing like a kid. Yena watches her with a poker face because of her confusing sentence.

“I feel disappointed when she didn’t come. Well, I expected her to come because she said she will.” She added, “I shouldn’t be disappointed, why am I being like this to someone I just met?” She puffs, her eyebrows are meeting because of frustration.

“She’s your soulmate,” Yena stated the obvious with squinted eyes.

“Duh, she is,”

“Then, it’s normal to feel like that to someone that gets your interest. You’re interested in her, to your soulmate, to Eunbi.” Yena explained before popping a single fries into .

Hyewon’s mouth formed an O. Her best friend’s words made a point – which happens seldomly. She wouldn’t feel this way if she isn’t interested in Eunbi. But still, she’s disappointed that the short-haired girl didn’t show up. She can simply leave a message that she couldn’t make it, so Hyewon wouldn’t wait – for her. She expected Eunbi to come that she practiced hard not to be an embarrassment to the girl.

“Was that even possible?” Hyewon asked herself, trying to think about Yena’s words. She sighs, looking up to the sky – she smiles, seeing the moon shines brightly above her. This is happening, she can see colors – brightly. Something about the moon makes her calm and relax – it’s a good feeling.

When she looked back at the path, she halted on her step. Her eyes blinking seeing Eunbi standing on her front. The short-haired girl is panting hard as if she just came from running, Hyewon can even see the beads of sweats falling from her forehead.

“I’m sorry,” The first thing that came from Eunbi’s mouth after she managed to catch her breathing. She looked at Hyewon and her eyes have troubled expression and sincerity.

Hyewon just looked at her then after a minute, she passed by Eunbi – avoiding her. She’s still annoyed at herself and disappointed for expecting like that. She never expected so quick in her whole life – not until that night, where she waited for Eunbi.

“Hyewon-ah, I’m sorry. Something happened, therefore I couldn’t come and didn’t manage to answer your calls and messages.” Eunbi runs after her, blocking her way hence she doesn’t have the choice but to stop walking.

“But do you think of coming?” Hyewon asked, looking blankly at the girl on her front.

“Yes, I wanted to come,” Eunbi said. The sincerity in her voice is overflowing even her eyes – something Hyewon couldn’t neglect.

“Okay.” She said letting out a smile, nodding her head as a sign that she understands and let it go. Who is she not to forgive someone?

“We’re good? Just like that?” Eunbi asked, couldn’t believe it – she thought it will be hard to get Hyewon’s forgiveness. But, she’s wrong.

“Yeah, seems like it an important thing.” Hyewon stated, “But, make it up for me.” She added, crossing her arms and started to sulk.

Eunbi chuckles, “How?”

“I haven’t eaten dinner,” Hyewon grinned.

“Oh! I know a good place that serves a good chicken!” Eunbi said enthusiastically, she then reached for Hyewon’s hand and started pulling her.

“Will it satisfy me?” Hyewon asked, the short-haired girl glanced at her before smirking.

“You’ll be the happiest after tasting their chicken,” Eunbi rolled her eyes.

Hyewon chuckled before glancing at her hand being held by Eunbi as the girl dragged her away – excitedly, to the chicken restaurant.

It didn’t even help when her smile slowly gets broader after staring at their hands. This is her first time getting held by someone – she never let her friends give her skinship. Because she hates it, just by the thought of being hugged by someone or being held by her hand – it annoys her.

However tonight, Hyewon doesn’t feel like complaining. It doesn’t feel annoying nor bothersome.

Instead, it feels warm and comfortable.

Thus, she let Eunbi hold her hand until they reached the restaurant.
