Sunrise

It happened so instantly, as 5:53 in the morning ticked on February 21st.

Into the woods, I saw it rose and glanced over the skyline like a siren—a song enchanting my innocent heart. The colours of the butterflies have scattered and camouflaged its amber hues light. And the warmth of the fire has kissed my dry, pale skin.

It was as if the sky and the sea conspired for it to be seen.
For it to be loved by me.

Then I saw those radiant rays slowly fading and descending below the horizon.
I begged and I plead for it to stay but, it never did.

It never does.

Yet, I'm here under the twilight—listening how the crickets sing and waiting for it to rise.
Waiting for my heart to fall inlove again at the end of the night.
