oo1 "Jaehyun! Jaehyun!" Hayoung called, chasing after the furious guy in the almost empty hallway of the building. "Jaehyun please—" she pleaded upon getting a hold of his arm only for it to get yanked back by the other. She shook her head harshly as tears brimmed her eyes. She joined her hands together in front of her, her face pleading. "Please let me explain!" Jaehyun scoffed, looking around shortly before glancing back at her, his hands moving up to rest on his hips. "Let you explain?" He let out an amused laugh. "I don't think you deserve that," he shook his head. "No, no," The lady shook her head, once Kore reaching for his arms. He backed away. "Please let me explain myself, son. I-I-I only did what I did because I was afraid and alone that time!" The ears finally falling. Jung Jaehyun hated seeing girls cry, especially if it was Hayoung. However, this time, he can't find it in his self to feel pity for the woman. The woman who should've cared for him. "I don't want to abort you that's why I decided to give you to Chairman Jung, son please—" "So you won't abort me?" Jaehyun huffed in disbelief. "My father left me because he's young and afraid of responsibilities. And you, left me to another family because you don't want to abort me?" She nodded, breathing a little realizing that he was finally understanding. "But you left me!" The guy shouted, his eyes widening in hatred. "You left me all alone! Tell me, how does that compensate to thinking about aborting me? What difference will it make? huh? Are you telling me to be thankful because you didn't abort me? You still left me!" "N-no, Jaehyun—" "You shouldn't have let me live if you're just going to push me to the side! You're worse than my father who left because he can't take responsibility! All my life I grew up without a mother on my side, so I can't just change that all of a sudden." He walked closer to her, maintaining eye contact. "Son?" he chuckled mockingly. "You will never be my mother," he let out dangerously low. "You are my aunt, that's all you'll ever be. I don't need a mother to live." He shook his head slowly, before finally turning on his heels to leave Hayoung all alone, breaking down into ugly tears. -- "Jaehyun! Jaehyun!" Five year old Jaehyun turned his head to search for his aunt at the sea of people walking pass each other in the plaza. Instantly, a huge smile graced his lips seeing her walking towards her with a huge Teddy bear in her hand, waving at him with her other. "Auntie!" Jaehyun hollered before running up to meet her halfway. unfortunately, the poor boy tripped on his toes, causing him to crash face first to the ground. In alarm, Hayoung ran up to the boy, "Jaehyun!" "Are you alright?" She asked him worriedly after helping him get up, wiping the dirt on his clothes. "Omo, you got a scratch on your cheek," She cooed as she wipe his cheek with her hanky. "Are you alright?" She asked him with double worry when she saw him gaping at her with a foolish grin on his face. He nodded enthusiastically before replying to her with words. "Your son will be very lucky to have you as his mother." She paused, eyeing the boy with obvious shock on her face. He was a child who knows nothing about the world but his words hit her as if a truck slammed at her. Oh well, he will never say the words of he knew about the truth about him. "auntie?" Hayoung was bought back to reality as she felt the soft caress of the boy on her cheek. With a tear-filled eyes, she shook her head gently s she smiled at him affectionately. "Why are you crying, auntie?" "It's nothing," she whispered. "It's nothing," she combed her fingers through his locks, assuring him that she was okay. Jaehyun woke up from his dream, feeling extremely numb on his limbs. Groaning, the guy detached his forehead from the stirring wheel, realizing that he had slept inside his car while waiting for— For What, exactly? Maybe waiting for a change to happen. When most people are wary of change, Jung Jaehyun is someone who anticipates change way too much. He has always been competitive when it comes to challenges that come along his way, embracing every change in his life wholly because he knew, secretly deep in his heart, he was hoping that one of these changes will lead him to knowing his real parents. But now, he wasn't sure if he still wants that change in his life. He sighed, he still couldn't believe that his Aunt Hayoung was his biological mother. "I'm not getting any younger, Jaehyun. Can you please search for Hyunjae? That will make my soul rest in peace once I die." He remembered his grandmother's words from earlier. All this time, he thought that he was the heir to the company, and not wanting to disappoint, he did everything to be the best, so everybody in the family will be proud of him. Turns out he was living a life full of lies. And now that everything has been revealed, the chance of him inheriting everything his grandmother worked hard for just slipped off his hands as easy as one, two, and three. Jaehyun sighed, leaning the back of his head on his seat only to frown shortly after sensing somebody from his peripheral vision, just outside of his car. He whipped his head to the left to see a girl on her cheap-looking clothes, fixing her hair as if she was in front of a mirror, her gaze obviously focused on her reflection on his tinted car windows. The guy scoffed. Isn't his car window too fabulous to be considered a mirror? Rahyo stiffened seeing the windows of the black Tucson rolling down. Crap! Is there someone inside?! She waited for the owner to finally appear as the window slowly revealed his face. From his rich ash blonde hair, thick brows and piercing eyes, pointed nose, and down to his luscious lips. He is handsome, alright. But the way his brows furrowed and his lips forming a thin line makes the girl feel uneasy towards him. "Don't you think my window's way too expensive to be a mirror?" He asked, smirking at her. Shoot. He doesn't sound nice despite the deep quality of his voice that was supposed to bring weakness to her knees. She shook her head. Now isn't the time to cloud her thoughts about this male visuals, associating him with her ideal man. "W-well..." She stuttered, raking her mind for a way out to this small but growing trouble. The guy arched a brow at her. "Well?" he urged. "W-well..." Just then, as if the heavens knew all about her current suffering, she heard somebody calling for her from afar. "Rahyo-ah! Someone's looking for a place to park his car?" Instantly, the female's head snapped to the direction of the voice, prompting the guy inside the car to raise both brows in a short time. "I'll be there in a minute!" "You're the parking attendant?" Jaehyun asked without any preamble when the girl faced back in front. "Ah," she chuckled uneasily. "Actually, no. It was my father, but he's I'll right now so I'm taking over his place for now." She explained kindly but that statement caused more crumple on the guy's forehead. "The deaf man?" Rahyo blinked. "H-he's not actually deaf." She started. "It's just that he can't hear clearly, so you need to speak loudly for him to be able to hear you properly—" "Yeah, whatever." The guy mused monotonously, looking around the interior of his vehicle before looking back at the woman outside. "The point is," Jaehyun said with his no nonsense face, locking gazes with the uncomfortable girl. "You and your ways of living is illegal," She frowned at his statement, not catching on with what he's saying. "This is a parking lot for this," Jaehyun quoted in the air. "'Newly built' high rise, and not much of its units were occupied, so how come we have lots of different cars parked every day, right?" She felt drying. "W-well..." Jaehyun crosses his arms on top of his chest before nodding. "Okay, explain yourself," he urged, allowing her side of the story to come to light. However, even before Rahyo could start with her explanation, the guy spoke again. "Well, obviously," he sighed, looking at his reflection in the mirror, secretly adoring his self. "It's simple. You let people from other places park in huge wide spot without having to ask permission from the owner because you're getting paid, right?" He finally shot her a dirty glare. "They're paying you for letting them use someone else's parking lot, aren't they?" He smirked. "Well, tell you what? This parking space is for the HIGH RISE Tenants only. So when I come out again, those cars?" He pointed at several cars parked at the moment. Rahyo followed his line of vision and gulped inaudibly. Is he a psychic? How does he know whose cars belong to who? "They better be gone." He came back to shooting her a straight look. "Or else we're bringing this matter to the court." Rahyo's eyes widened. "H—Hey—" But he already rolled up his windows, before revving the car engine, zooming away. The female almost ate the white smoke his car emitted as she watch the car disappear with a troubled look on her face. She coughed to force the pollution out of her windpipe, frowning at the disappearing vehicle. "I'm doomed." She mumbled. -- "okay, okay. I'll be there tomorrow to recheck the files," Jaehyun rested one hand on his hip while he uses the other to support his phone pressed on his ear. He sighed, raising the hand on his hip to pinch his brows together, seemingly trying his best to calm down. "Just don't," he huffed. "Just don't touch anything for now, okay? I don't want anymore damage than what was done at the moment." From afar, Jaehyun could hear somebody screaming and he moved a little farther so he could hear his employee better. "I'm sorry, can you repeat that?" The one on the other end repeated what she told him and he furrowed his brows, feeling a little bit embarrassed that he can't hear her properly. "What was that, sorry?" Jaehyun spoke again, trying his best to sound authoritative despite the embarrassing situation he's in.
