Foreword

Oversize hoodie, black mid-half jeans, sneakers. Snapback that covers her long hair. Jiyeon walks through the arrival gate, with luggage in her hand. Her eyes fall on a placard with her name on it.

Shin Jiyeon. Guess Grandpa admits me as his granddaughter, she talks to herself.

"Young Miss?" The driver greet her. Jiyeon smile half-heartedly, as he reaches for her luggage and her to a luxurious car awaits.

Young Miss is a term used usually to refer to heiress of a rich family. In her case, she is a heiress of Shin family. A legend family that built business empire for decades. Now the leftover descendant, her Grandpa, Shin Joomin owned every building and wealth. He have two sons, Jaehee and Jiyoung. Jaehee was destined to die young, leaving his younger brother to endure the heaviness of the throne. Jiyoung that prefers simplicity, choose to be a peasant. Marrying a woman from village cause the family to break. He left home, leaving the old man with his wealth. Years passed. The couple was found dead in a car accident, leaving their twin babies. As he is aging, he needs an heir to take over company and the people. Better, heirs. He educated them as best as he can. Jieun is a lovely girl from the beginning. She follow orders, her moves are full of elegance, showing the rich blood of hers. On other side, Jiyeon is a rebel. She refused to those fluffy, lovely outfits and rather wear pants, jeans with oversize clothes and sneakers. Her hair is tied into a ponytail and always hide under the cap. As they grow up, Joomin decides to only have one heir and so, Jiyeon is unneeded. At the age of 8, she left the house and never to be seen. Until now.

"How's Mr. President?" Jiyeon stare outside of the window as they move. Buildings are tall, each are differ than others. She wonders if Grandpa owns them. The driver sneak a peek towards his Young Miss as he drives.

"Mr. President is doing quite well despite his age. And it is Grandpa to you, Young Miss." Jiyeon smirks. Does she still have the right to call him that? Her hands fall on her right forefinger. A rose gold ring, curved into leafy pattern decorates it. A couple ring of her and Jieun. Being away from each other does not mean that they cannot share their belongings. The ring was sent by Jieun on their 16th birthday. She wanted something that only they have. And indeed, Jiyeon found out that the ring was custom made and therefore, becomes the only design.

"Was she happy?" Jiyeon's question catch the driver off-guard. He glances to the back view mirror. Jiyeon's gloomy vibe surrounds the car. He clears his throat before he answer.

"The late Young Miss was a happy-go-lucky person. She was nice to everyone. She was bright, full of manner." Totally opposite of me, Jiyeon thoughts.

"She had lots of boyfriends."

"She's a playgirl?" Jiyeon frowned. The driver chuckle but then straight to poker face as he senses Jiyeon's glare.

"Friends that are boys. Boys-but-friends."

"Who are they?"
