"I let go of my claim on you, it's a free world"

A/N: this is probably going to be the shortest chapter ever. 

 

 

She should have listened when he talked of escape; after all, it was the only thing he ever wanted from her. What was Yena to do? 

 

“It’s not you.” She shut her eyes tight, he was lying. She could tell. “It’s me.” Chanyeol’s eyes held the cosmos; years and years of promises, stretching out to the stars from another galaxy. He was already too far gone and she could see that.

 

Yena scoffed. 

 

The ends of her lips curled at how much truth his words held; it held as much truth as the existence of flying pigs.

 

She couldn’t bring herself to cry even if she tried. A concoction of emotions festered within her, so much so that trying to ascertain which would have been an impossibility at present. How was she supposed to react exactly when she wasn’t quite sure of the situation in its entirety. 

 

How was a nineteen year old meant to know that sometimes love is only really a way to exploit? That’s not something ingrained in her mind. Was she even really exploited? No. That was a step too much. Fact is, romance isn’t really something she had much hope for to begin with. It was always about business contin
