Foreword

 

Some knowledge of the movie Pacific Rim, one of a few love letters to a genre that does come across as a love letter, and its prequel comic Tales from Year Zero would be helpful.

This is a just-for-fun writing exercise for me and a love letter to the Pacific Rim universe. As always, please consider becoming my crowdfunding supporter. Enjoy.

Chapter 1: Have I ever mentioned the fact that I love Wendy with a bratty temper? Haven't I? There, I've said it. The image of Wendy flipping bird behind Irene will forever have its place in my favourite list. Not only Wendy but I like the rougher and more archetype-inclined rendering of personalities for our RV cast here.

I haven't read the Pacific Rim comic (but will catch up later) and haven't rewatched the film in a while so gotta rinse my brain a little bit to follow all the details. But if a Kaiju's brain is involved and with a trio sharing a same broken brain cell like JoWenSeul, I can't help but pray for our Ranger Bae lol.

It's refreshing to have Wenrene Sci-fi AU, the world need more Wenrene sci-fi AU, so thank you for the food, again :'D
