Beads of sweat trailed down Chaeyoung's neck and collarbones as she danced to the beat of Take Me by Miso. The University's Dance Troupe really had to conduct their weekly practices sa gitna ng quadrangle ng school kung saan nakikita ng halos lahat ng dumadaan yung routine nila. It was a sight.

Chaeyoung is their best dancer kaya naman lagi siyang nasa harapan. Habang ako naman ay nasa gilid at nakaupo sa benches dahil hinihintay ko si Chaeyounng, sabay kasi kami lagi umuuwi habang sina Jennie at Jisoo yung kadalasang nagsasabay. Hawak ko yung towel at tubig ni Chaeyoung kaya nung matapos yung kanta, dali-dali siyang pumunta sa akin and without looking at me, she grabbed the bottle of water and drank from it. 

"Punasan mo ko." sambit niya and I scoffed. 

Pero I did as she said. I wiped the sweat forming on her forehead at sinunod ko yung leeg niya then the top of her collarbones. Tapos she put both her arms up and tied her hair neatly in a ponytail at napalunok naman ako as I watched her do it. 

"U-uhm.." Napalingon kami pareho ni Chaeyoung nung nariig namin na may nagsasalita. "Chaeyoung, I'm Arnie. Pwede ba kitang ligawan?" tanong nung lalaki sabay yuko habang akmang inaabot kay Chaeyoung yung box of chocolates na hawak niya.

Atleast they're not flowers.

"I'm not available." simpleng reply ni Chaeyoung. Nagulat naman ako because it was the first time na tumanggi siya outright. Normally she would go out on dates just to try if she'd feel something for a guy at pagkatapos nun, she'll dump him. 

"A-Ah okay.. The chocolates though.." the guy trailed off pero hindi siya sinagot ni Chaeyoung at inayos niya na yung bag niya and she motioned me na sumunod na sakanya dahil imimeet pa namin si Jennie at Jisoo para sa afternoon coffee namin. 

"I deserve this after all the asthma attacks." I whispered as I grabbed the chocolates from the guy and smiled.

"Tahimik ka." Chaeyoung uttered as she put her arms around me. "Huy! Pawis ka pa! Kadiri!" sigaw ko sakanya as I removed her arm from my shoulder. 

"Lagi kang ganyan! Ayaw mo na ba sakin?" Pagpapacute niya. 
 

“May tanong ako.” I uttered as I eyed Chaeyoung nervously. She hummed in response and she held my arm as we walked papunta sa coffee shop. 

“Do you think I should start dating people?” sambit ko at napatigil siya ng lakad. 

“Why are you asking me that?” she asked me in return and I just shrugged.  

“Did someone ask you out? Finally?” Tanong pa niya as she wiggled her eyebrows. Ginagawa niya yun pag iniinis niya ako. 

“Actually...” 

“Is it someone I know?” She cut me off. 

I nodded. 

“Kilala mo si Sunmi?” 

“Of course she’s—- Don’t tell me she asked you out... Lisa!” She exclaimed sabay tulak sakin. 

“Talagang nasa dance troupe pa! When?” Tanong niya sabay palo nanaman sakin. 

“Kanina lang. Tinanong niya number ko.” 

“Binigay mo naman?” Tanong niya and I nodded. 

“I can’t believe the moment I decided to stop dating... ikaw naman ang magdedate ngayon?” She rolled her eyes.  “Isusumbong kita kay Jisoo.” She huffed as she opened the door of the café. 

Nakaupo na pareho sina Jennie at Jisoo sa usual spot namin at iniinom na nila yung kani-kanilang mga drinks. 

Pagkaupong-pagkaupo namin, tinignan ako ng masama ni Chaeyoung tapos kinwento na niya sa dalawa yung tungkol kay Sunmi. 

“Anong plano mo?” Tanong ni Jennie sakin. “Tinext ka na ba niya?” 

Tumango ako and they all gasped. For the nth time, pinalo nanaman ako ni Chaeyoung. 

“Bakit hindi mo sinabi sakin!!” Sigaw niya and some of the people sitting nearby looked at us dahil sa lakas ng boses niya. She whispered a quick sorry and continued staring at me. 

“Di mo naman tinanong.” Reply ko sabay dila sakanya.
