Chapter 1: it’s difficult to say anything about this. perhaps it’s because you’ve chosen to tell a story which is on some level personal, yet something we can all relate to? whether it being the one who says ‘I love you’, or the one who is given it?

so, refraining from diving too deep into the meaning and the contents of the story, I always like reading first person point of view, especially when it’s driven by action (rather than thoughts), it drives the plot forwards. the story's gloomy. in a way. but not heart-wrenchingly so. it is short. straight to the point. but there’s the sadness in it which slows it down, so nice pacing ((:
