I worried a lot while you were away, even though I was trying to live my life. I worried about you a lot. How are you? How were you?

There were a lot of nights were I spent awake, restless with the thought of you. Tossing and turning, until I fervently pray for your safety, for your wellbeing, for you to have strength and comeback--and even then I feel like it's not enough.

I've stopped doubting you, long long ago. Now, all that I hold unto is the you that lives in my memories. Your smile, your hands, your comforting presence and unshakeable confidence in everything.

You were so bright and even if the glimpse of dimness, that I thought were just my eyes playing tricks on me, showed through, you were still the brightest in every room you went into. You were the brightest in every life you touched.

I've always admired how you stand up after everything crushes you down. I envied how you stood, taller and shining whenever life throws you around the curve.
