The bed never felt so cold. Soyeon couldn’t find peace as she tossed and the mattress. She became so used to Yuqi's warmth that the room was cold without her girlfriend, who took a trip to Beijing to see her parents. They just finished another schedule so she took some time off to see her family. Soyeon wanted so badly to be there but she had work to do on Cube, so she had to cope with her dear Yuqi's lack.
She got out of bed, walking around, making her way out of the room and into the hallways at dawn. Minnie and Miyeon should be sleeping in the older's bedroom since Shuhua and Soojin asked for some alone time since it was valentines day.
“Absence makes the heart grow fonder.” That’s what Soyeon learned after two weeks without Yuqi by her side. Everything reminded her so much of Yuqi that she was tempted to call her every hour, but she couldn’t since her girlfriend needed some time with her parents after years without going home. Their time apart only showed Soyeon how much she needed the girl in her life and how she couldn’t imagine her life without Song Yuqi at her side, so that’s why she got the black velvet box hiding in her sock drawer, Yuqi was coming home that day and she was going to ask if she would be her valentine, forever.
Of course she was nervous, what if Yuqi said no? What if she made a fool of herself? The thoughts in Soyeon’s mind were set on a loop, making hard to sleep but she tried.
Soyeon woke up in a hurry, three hours later. She took a shower and put the outfit that Yuqi liked the most, so she was ready. The airport was beautifully decorated since it was valentines days. Feeling anxious, Soyeon put her wig and cap, then walked into the terminal, welcoming a tired Yuqi back home. When Yuqi saw Soyeon in a corner she smiled as she approached her girlfriend.
- Happy Valentine’s day, babe.
- How was the trip?
- It was so great, I missed my house so much... it was a good trip but something was missing.
