Everything was going as normal as possible for you, Joo Hyerim. Your parents were comfortable in their retirement, their house falling into your hands since you were staying in the area. Your job was only a few bus stops away. Your income was more than enough to keep you afloat, despite your job consuming your life. It wasn't all that bad, though, for you had ample amounts of days off when you did your job well. Your style was on point, and you yourself had gained the confidence much needed as the assistant to the director of an advertisement and commercial company. Even threats from your past had been dealt with, and there was nothing to worry you. Everything was normal. 

But soon, that would change. That fateful night. The night when your childhood friend arrives on your doorstep, soaked to the bone from the rain, and covered in cuts and bruises. After being absent for five years, you were surprised to see him, especially since it was reminiscent of your school days. There was something he was hiding from you, but the same could be said of you. You had secrets from the five years in his absence, just as he had. But what danger could those possibly bring to the two of you as you give him a place to stay until he recovers?
