Ji Yeong is a short girl who was born "ugly" and is constantly picked on by her peers. Boys make fun of her and girls don't like her. Even her relatives shun her as being the "ugly duckling" of the otherwise gorgeous family, going so far as to question whether or not she's related to them behind her back. One day though, Ji Yeong tries to commit suicide but her twin brother saves her and somehow turns her into a real beauty! But this transformed form comes with two conditions: whenever raindrops touch her, she turns back to her original, "ugly" form for a short time, and if she ever kisses someone, she won't be able to turn back into her beautiful form. Now that Ji Yeong is no longer "ugly", how will her classmates and family react to her? How will Ji Yeong cope with the limits to her miraculous transformation? And what is the meaning of "beauty" anyway?

Kim Ji Yeong/Han Hee Joo

The girl who was the object of torment of the children she went to school with because she was born "ugly". As she attempts to suicide, her deceased twin brother, Yi Jeong comes to her rescue and transforms her into a very lovely girl with the name of Han Hee Joo.

Kim Yi Jeong/Han Dong Joo

Ji Yeong's deceased twin brother who saves her from attempting suicide. He transforms Ji Yeong into a very lovely girl and gave her a new identity and her new name-Han Hee Joo. He reincarnates himself and is living in the body of Han Dong Joo.

Han Hee Joo/Kim Ji Yeong

Ji Yeong's new look and identity.  She is now tall, pretty, chased by the guys, and is the wanted friend of every girl at Jung Hwa. However, to keep her form, she must follow her brother's two conditions: whenever raindrops touch her, she turns back to her original, "ugly" form for a short time, and if she ever kisses someone, she won't be able to turn back into her beautiful form. 

Han Dong Joo/Kim Yi Jeong

Yi Jeong's reincarnated form. He is veterinarian at an animal hospital, near Ji Yeong's apartment. He is still the loving, caring, and kind Yi Jeong. He is a seen and unseen being. He is visible when he's at work and invisible when on day-offs. 

He serves as his sister's guardian as she goes on her task.
