Description
A renowned ex-soccer player and now tetraplegic files a petition for euthanasia (mercy killing).
With the court, family, friends and lover against his petition, will his request be granted or not?
This fanfiction is an adaptation of the Indian movie Guzaarish, Inspired by Jojo Moyer's novel Me before you, and blends with my ideas.
Foreword
‘A strange request: Mr.Chanyeol Park files a petition for mercy killing,’ Amahle read the headline on the newspaper.
‘I was going to inform you,’ Chanyeol responded, at the same time moving his head towards her direction.
‘Sports page,’ she ignored him, lifting the newspaper closer to her spectacled eyes.
‘I am sorry Amahle, more than anybody else I think I owed it to you…’
‘You don’t owe me anything Mr. Park. After all, I’m just your nurse,’ she replied cutting him off, ‘your favourite food will reach you in an hour and at four pm I’ll check your Blood pressure and if there’s anything you need before that… I’m just a whistle away.’
She stood up, folded then threw the newspaper on the chair and strode off not before adding, ‘and after this petition, if you don’t need my service anymore, do let me know I’ll submit my resignation.’
