About
Our tale beings in the free city of Novigrad. Though located within Redania's territory, it is not subject to the rules of that kingdom or any other. Boasting one of the major ports on the continent and thriving commercial industries, it has grown into one of the largest cities in the North. A veritable land of opportunity, many flock to its walls to escape oppression in their homelands and to find new lives. This makes the population of Novigrad an unusual mix of both permanent residents and wayfarers.

Ruled by an elected Hierarch who leads a religious cult called the Eternal Fire, he promises to protect the city from all evil... At least, that is what they want you to believe. In a time of uncertainty with Nilfgaard invading from the south, people want to find some semblance of peace. Yet for all its honest work, the criminal underground is as strong within Novigrad as any other business. People may look the other way, but they know that the true power lies with the Syndicate. One may not have to fear oppressive leaders or vicious beasts, but the rogues of the city may just rob you blind. Yet there is beauty in the chaos and freedom to be found so long as you are brave enough to seize it.
how to join
this is a discord based rp, so you must have a discord account to join. comment below with your desired character and an admin will give you the link to the discord channel. you can then look through more info like additional rules, lore, and find the application form. you will then submit it in the application submission section.

01) No OOC drama. There is a zero tolerance policy. Get along with everyone. Roleplay is for fun, not to cause undue stress..
 
02) Please don't ignore people. Branch out and be inclusive.
 
03) Two characters per person for now.
 
04) As of right now, I don't have a set inactivity for accepted members. I'm going to feel that out as we go.
 
05) Check out the masterlist before you apply. There is also a wishlist on the Discord.

06) You don't have to come up with an original name for your character, but it is not unwelcome if you do.
 
07) All races, genders, ualities, and writing styles are allowed..
 
08) This is an roleplay. Mature themes will exist. Please make sure to discuss mature/extreme plots with others before going forward with them.
 
09) This is based of the Witcher books, games, and the Netflix TV show. However, you don't need to have played, read, or watched any of it to participate. I purposely set this in a city independent of a lot of the politics in the lore. Just know you're in a trade city on the ocean, with a questionably oppressive religious leader with a dubious criminal underground and there are monsters outside the walls. And run with it!.
 
10) You may play canon characters if you want. I will also allow crossover characters from similar universes like Skyrim, Dragon Age, and GoT.
