"I never really properly apologized to you about what happened before. I-"
"It's okay." I immediately cut him off, knowing full well what will come next.
"But I need to-" he tried again.
"You don't need to. I said it's okay." I said as I tried to reassure him.
"Fine." And then silence enveloped us. Who would have thought that the once comforting silence between us would turn into this?
"I was stupid. I've always known what I wanted deep down in me. But I ed up because I got scared." He said after what felt like forever.
"I know." I smiled at him knowingly. I wonder if he could see the sadness in me for I saw it in him too.

Jisoo, Sehun and Junmyeon met for the first time.
She was just starting to get back on her feet.
And they had everything figured out.
So what will happen when these three people from different stages in life meet? Where will they be this time next year? And the year after that? And every year that follows?
Foreword
One Day by David Nicholls has always been my favorite novel. It did not help that one of my favorite movie actresses, Anne Hathaway, was part of the cast of the movie adaptation. I could safely say that this story was inspired by One Day, so it might look familiar to some extent. Rest assured that it will not be totally based on it, but on my personal experiences with a little bit of creative license here and there.
I already started writing this over a year ago. It was meant to be only a one shot. But I feel that it won't give justice to the whole story I had in mind.

PS. It's been long since I last wrote a story, life got in the way. But writing stories had and will always be my first love. Fair warning that I might be a little rusty.
