yoonmin - Detroit becomes human! Au

Description

weird. Jimin thought it was very weird, having to work with an android that looked so human. he, unlike what felt like all of Seoul, didn’t own an android, he didn’t know what It’d feel like to have one with you at all times. So Jimin felt weird having been teamed up with this android that cyberlife sent, ‘yoongi’ was his name they said.

Foreword

weird.

Jimin thought it was very weird, having to work with an android that looked so human. he, unlike what felt like all of Seoul, didn’t own an android, he didn’t know what It’d feel like to have one with you at all times, so he felt weird. yoongi didn’t go anywhere without Jimin, following the orders given to him by cyberlife to be accompanied by Jimin where ever they went.

needless to say Jimin didn’t enjoy yoongi inside his apartment at three in the morning because “a new crime took place and we need to investigate immediately, Jimin wake up”. Jimin wanted to slap the crap out of  yoongi if he’s being honest but he let it slide.

At times Jimin would almost forget that yoongi was an Android, only thing reminding him is the bright LED on his temple that Jimin noticed shone yellow or at times red during stressful situations or at more mundane ones like when he drops something by accident and stands there starring at the said broken object with furrowed confused eyebrows and a frown.

jimin couldn’t bring himself to be mad at that.

as days pass by, Jimin noticed yoongi wasn’t the same machine yoongi told him he was when they first met. Jimin noticed yoongis faint smiles as he looked his way, only to quickly look away when he saw Jimin looking back. or how he brings Jimin coffee when they’re working late in the office. “to help you focus” Jimin recalls him saying.

Yoongi wasn’t the same yoongi he met the first time, the uncomfortable feeling between them long gone.

Jimin found himself caring for yoongi, making a promise to keep him safe. he nods to himself as he watches yoongi get distracted with his puppy holy yet again. He giggles as he remembers yoongis random confession about how he likes dogs and how holy likes yoongi so much now she won’t let them finish work.

Jimin grew so attached to yoongi and so accustomed to his presence that he couldn’t imagine life without him anymore.

————————

Jimin was shaking, his lips parting and closing yet nothing could escape his mouth. Starring at yoongis frail body, sitting with his back against the wall, blue blood coming out of his chest.

he got shot during one of their missions. right where his pump regulator is, the part that keeps an android going.

warnings were coming up all over yoongis screen.

‘WARNING! VITAL SYSTEM DAMAGE’

‘BIOCOMPONENT # 2578p DAMAGED’

‘REPLACE PUMP REGULATOR!’

‘-00:00:43 TIME REMAINING BEFORE SHUTDOWN’

yoongi is going to die, Jimin won’t be safe staying here, he had to leave.

Jimin needs to be safe.

protect Jimin.

the only thoughts running through yoongis mind were how to get Jimin out of this situation when he can barely even move.

yoongi stuttered out weakly “Jimin..you need to get out of here, i-it’s too dan-dangerous you n-need to leave” yoongi looked at Jimin, he was crying, yoongi wanted to so bad move, he wanted to wipe jimins tears away, he felt something inside of him he’s never felt before, he was sad, scared.

suddenly he felt Jimin grab his hand holding it tightly.

‘WARNING! -00:00:10 TIME REMAINING BEFORE SHUTDOWN!’

yoongi was crying, a feature put in androids to stimulate human behavior that yoongi never thought he’d need or use but he was crying, without even realizing it.

jimins crys became audible, upon seeing yoongis tears, he slowly reached out to wipe yoongis cheeks.

“It’s going to be okay yoongi”

“I’m sorry Jimin”

‘WARNING! -00:00:02 TIME REMAINING BEFORE SHUTDOWN’

yoongis voice went inaudible towards the end of his sentence

‘SYSTEM SHUTTING DOWN’

“I love you”.
