Seulgi loved the rain. She loved the sound of it tapping against glass creating a pitter-patter rhythm. She loved the smell of the rain especially during the afternoon. She loved the vibe it gave everytime it poured. She loved cozying up with her blanket and a fresh hot cup of cocoa in her hand.

Most people didn't like the rain but she thrived in it. Most people would rather stay inside and not have themselves wet but she didn't care about getting wet, she'd loved getting wet from the rain.

Nothing could beat her love for the rain.

It was rainy afternoon and Seulgi had just finished her classes. Seeing as it was raining, it was the perfect time to grab hot cocoa but honestly she was just craving something sweet. With a smile, she opens her bright yellow umbrella under the rain.

Walking under the rain with her umbrella, Seulgi couldn't resist the temptation to hum a happy tune. She was passing by the university center when an unknown person took shelter under her umbrella.

"Oh!" she gasps in surprise. The new occupant turned to her and smiled. His eyes turning into crescents and Seulgi couldn't help but swoon internally.

"Sorry to scare you. But I hope you don't mind sharing your umbrella with me?" Jimin said with a soft voice. Seulgi nodded her head and prayed he couldn't see her blush deeply. She couldn't believe Jimin- The Park Jimin was under the same umbrella as her.

"I-I don't mind"

You see, Park Jimin was quite well-known around campus. Not just as on the handsome faces of the Architecture Department but also because of his sweet attitude. He was apparently so sweet, you'd get a toothache from his caring personality. And to top off his insanely good-looks and dashing persona, he was talented beyond imagination. Not to mention, Seulgi held a small crush towards the guy.

Yes, Kang Seulgi. The university's tough girl. With her third degree black belt and fastest track record. But behind that persona, she was nothing but a hopeless romantic and an utter sweetheart. Only her close friends knew the real her, and she was fine with that.

"So... Where are you headed off to?"

"Oh... I'm h-headed to the campus café"

"All the way to the other side of the campus?"

"W-well yes. Did you need to be somewhere? I-I could drop you off"

"Ah Seulgi-ssi that won't be necessary"

"You know my name?"she asked, whipping her head towards him in surprise. Jimin, however looked back at her calmly, as if knowing her name wasn't surprising news. It really wasn't, she was just over-reacting due to her small crush.

"Of course, I would. You're one of the most talked about girls in the campus"

"O-oh"

"I'm kinda surprised though" Jimin confessed. "That you're this timid"

"Huh?"

"I mean I've heard from our department that you're this tough chick. You know the type to judo flip a guy if he looked at you in th wrong way or even a flying kick to his face"

Seulgi looked at him mortified at the rumor he was telling her. Jimin couldn't help but think of her as cute and chuckled at her reaction.

"But they're wrong" he said looking away from her. "You're actually pretty nice. I mean the fact that you're letting me share your umbrella with me is super sweet of you"

"Anyone would've done it"

"Would they? And the way you seemed to react to the rumor I heard means you wouldn't be caught dead doing those types of things"

"Well, first of all, I-I can't do a judo flip. Well, I used to but right now, I really can't. Second, I don't want to hit someone. U-Unless, of course, if I'm in a competition or something. Not that I want to them to get hurt but like, I need to point-"

Jimin laughed and patted Seulgi's shoulder to calm her down. He freezes in his actions as he realizes that he may be crossing line.

"Oops. Sorry"

"Ah no, it's fine Jimin-ssi"

"So you know my name too?"

"Well, you're also really popular"

"Oh? So what have you heard about me, Seulgi-ssi?"

Seulgi's turned pink. She heard a lot about him but wouldn't it be obvious that she was crushing on him? Specially if he found out that she knew he concentrates with his tongue out. He has a habit of pushing his hair back a lot. He liked animals so much he and Taehyung, his best friend, often volunteer at pet shelters. And so much more.

But she would not tell him that.

So much for having a small crush on the guy.

"U-uh" she stuttered and looked away, only to realize that the rain had stopped pouring. "It stopped raining"

"Hm. You're right"

"I guess we won't be needing this then" Seulgi slowly put down her yellow umbrella, closing it.

"Ah well that's sad. However, I hope we're still continuing our trip to the café"

"Huh?"

"You said you were heading to the café, right?"

"I am... But are you not supposed to go somewhere?"

"Well... Yeah-"

"Then you should go"

Jimin stared at her before lifting a hand and pressing a finger to her forehead.

"Dummy, I'm going to the café with you"

"What? Why? It's stopped raining. You're free to go anywhere"

"Me sheltering under your umbrella was an excuse to talk with you"

"What?"

"I had to find a way to make you look at me. Saw this opportunity and took it" he shrugged as if it wasn't obvious.

But Seulgi's mind was a mess. 'A way to make you look at me' what? What does that mean? Was he implying- no. No way! There was absolutely no way. It's just her mind- playing tricks with her.

"Why do you look surprised? You haven't been confessed to before?"

Her cheeks were definitely red.

"Aww your cheeks are so red! That's so cute!"

"I-I- what?"

Jimin sighed. He cupped her cheeks and made her look at him straight in the eye.

"I like you, Kang Seulgi. Is that too much of a shocker?"

"W-why?"

"Hmm... Why? Because I saw your drive to win whenever you're in the ring. The fire in your eyes burning with fervent passion. Or you're selfless act of kindness to that one lost kid lost in Hongdae District. And you're undeniable talent and love for architecture. Long story I like a lot about you. Plus, you're unabashedly gorgeous" he said winking at the end.

Seulgi covered her face with her hands, as she blushed head to toe from Jimin's confession. It was just too much. She wasn't expecting it. She wasn't ready.

"Gah! Kang Seulgi, you're acting so cute right now! Makes me want to- to- I don't know hug you?"

"P-please stop with the flowery words"

"Well stop being cute"

"I can't stop being cute! This is the way I am"

"Well then, I'm not gonna stop with the flowery words. It's just the way I am" Jimin smirked and Seulgi huffed. He was flirting with her and she didn't know what to feel.

"Stopppp!"

"Fine. I'll stop" he suddenly said. "If you grab coffee with me"

She was silent for a few moments before she timidly replied. "Well, I'm still heading to the café anyway. I won't mind"

"Great! Let's go" Jimin said, grabbing her hands and pulling her with him. Blushing profusely, she look down on their entertwined fingers and smiled.

She really loved rainy days.
