eyes on her.

Description

he sneaks away from his group of friends just to surprise his girlfriend at her show.

true love.

Foreword

He stares at her like she is the only one in the area. His eyes glimmer and glow with excitement, adoration, admiration for the small Australian blonde haired girl just effortlessly mastering the dance moves for the song. A smile forms everytime she brings the mic up to her lips, letting the words perfectly and rhythmically flow along with the melody, not missing a single note, or step while doing so. That is pure talent. The way she just lights up the stage, the way her feet just glide across the floors, the way her eyes form beautiful little crescents when she flashes her breathtaking smile at the crowd of Blackpink fans, the way she just presents herself so magestically it is almost fatal for a lot of the male fans in the crowd...he just cannot get enough of her. He sighs softly, keeping his eyes on her and only her. His girlfriend was always so incredible. She had a wonderful heart, a heart so full of love for her fans it was inspiring. He always told himself he was one lucky man because he managed to steal the heart of the only girl he ever cared to impress throughout his years of supporting them. The moment she took the stage, grabbed the mic, and used her vocals to silence the crowd, leaving them in awe was the moment he knew he had to have her. He knew it, and that is what he did. He did just that.

"see you later maybe never!" the girls sing in sychronization, waving their arms in the air as they happily squeal with glee, sharing the excitement with the fans. Sungjae stands there moved and impressed with the girls especially his girlfriend as per usual.

"Thank you, Seoul!" Jennie exclaims, waving to her fans with that gummy grin plastered on her face. Lisa blows kisses towards the fans, Jisoo waves, and Rosie, oh his beautiful flower, speaks into the microphone once more like she always does before ending a concert.

"We love you all. Thank you so much for your support and for always reminding us of how we love our job. You made it possible for us to get this far in our career. You guys are the reason we are standing on this stage right now. We could not have done this without you, so thank you. We may not know each of you personally, but I can tell you, you all have touched our hearts in ways we were not expecting. We want to create beautiful memories with you, we want to make music that you will enjoy. We want you, as our fans, to always be happy because you guys make us happy. You make us very happy and we love you. So much! Thanks again, Seoul! we will see you again!" Rosie calls out to her fans through the mic, smiling warmly at the crowd before leaving the stage with the rest of the girls. Sungjae stands there in disbelief at how beautiful his girlfriend could look on that stage. He had no idea she could get any more beautiful than before. He is in awe. He is amazed and all he can think about is running backstage, scooping her up into his arms and showering her with kisses to remind her of how blessed he is to have her in his life, and how proud he is to have her as his girlfriend.

He remains seated in his seat, tapping his foot impatiently against the ground as he waits for fans to slowly flood out of the arena. He does not want to rush out of there, feeling the need to shove fans out of the way just to get to his girlfriend. He wants to get there without losing an arm, a foot, or even a hand just trying to slip in between groups of teenage girls. He wants to get there in peace and that is what he plans to do. He eyes the last girl leaving the row before rushing out and down the steps towards the backstage area of the arena. He fetches his VIP badge out of his pockets before practically shoving it in the guards faces, not even giving them a second to register who he was as he managed to slip past them, racing down the hall, turning corners rather quickly, nearly ending face first into a wall. He makes his way down the hall, walking past one of the dressing rooms, finally getting a glimpse of one of the girls or more like the corner of the sequinned dress she wore on stage.

His heart nearly stops once getting a brief look at a wave of long, curled blonde locks through the small opening of the door. He hears that giggle, that soft laugh similar to wind chimes as Rosie and the girls crack jokes in the dressing room. He grins to himself, hiding in the corner as he waits for her to leave the dressing room so he can surprise her. He decided to come on his own. She had no idea he was going to be there to show support. She had no idea he had even thought about going to the concert. Hell, she had no idea he even knew about the concert seeing as she rarely talked about it with him due to her constant busy schedules and rehearsals. He didn't want her to know just so he could surprise her. That was the beauty of it. Her voice grows closer as he stands there, thumbs fiddling with one another as his heart soars. She still manages to take his breath away and make his heart race as if it were the first time they had met. She has always had such a strong impact on the man. An undeniably strong impact. As she gets closer to his corner, he immediately pops out, earning a squeal from her and he lifts her in his arms, spinning her around gently. She giggles softly, wrapping her arms around his neck as she clings to him.

"Oh my god- Sungjae!" she cries out with laughter as he begins to shower her face with gentle kisses, letting the last few linger on her soft cheeks. He can feel the heat of her skin grow beneath his lips as he continues to kiss her. He sighs lovingly as he holds the small girl in his arms, hugging her tiny frame close to him and letting his nose rest atop her head, inhaling her fresh scent. The scent he has grown to love more and more each day.

"My precious flower," he murmers with a soft grin.

"I- what-what are you doing here? how did you know about my performance? I-"

"You're my girlfriend. I know everything," he teases with a small wink as he leans down to place his lips against hers. She cups his cheeks in her hands, kissing him back sweetly and softly, reveling in the moment that is just those two. Once he pulls away, her eyes glaze over slightly with tears that she quickly covers up with her hands to avoid crying in front of him. He hears a soft sniffle and furrows his brows. He places her down gently, taking her hands and removing them from her face so he can get a clear view of her. "Baby, what's wrong?" he asks, face showing nothing but concern as she continues to sniffle and wipe away at her tears.

"I-I'm just so emotional right now. I-I didn't know you would be here. I didn't think you would even know about this performance. This was a-a-a big performance for me and y-you showed up," she says in between soft hiccups and tears. He gazes at her before crouching down so he is at eye level with her. He moves her hands from her face and cups her warm cheeks in his hands, letting his thumbs caress the skin gently.

"Of course I was going to show up. You're my girlfriend, my flower. I wanted to show my support. I didn't want to tell you I was coming because I wanted it to be a surprise. I love you and I just wanted to be there for a big performance like this one."

She continues to sniffle softly. He smiles, leaning in to kiss at her tears before pulling away and resting his forehead gently against hers.

"Baby..."

She looks up at him through tearful eyes. "Hm?"

"Don't cry my love. I'm sorry I didn't tell you I was coming. I wanted it to be a surprise."

She shakes her head, wiping her eyes once more.

"No no no. I'm happy you surprised me. That's why I'm crying so much. I just- I'm just so overwhelmed with emotion right now. I'm so happy you're here. Incredibly happy and thankful. I don't deserve you..."

"Oh hush up my flower. You deserve me way more than you even think. I'm the one who doesn't deserve you," he says, tucking a strand of loose hair behind her ear so he can get a clear view of her angelic features. "Everyday I am thinking to myself what have I done to deserve someone like you in my life. You're just...you're out of this world. You're out of my league that's for sure, yet, you still chose me. I just- sometimes it's hard to believe, really. That someone like you could possibly choose someone like me."

Rosie smiles softly, leaning up on her tippy toes to give him a soft kiss.

"You are the best thing to ever happen to me. I deserve you and you deserve me. We deserve each other, and don't you ever forget it," she smiles, laughing softly as he pecks her forehead, nose, cheeks, and lips lastly. He pulls her into his arms, allowing her head to rest against his chest as she her hair. She closes her eyes for a few moments, enjoying this time with just the two of them.

"You were incredible up there as per usual. I could not keep my eyes off of you," he mumbles into her hair. She smiles, looking up at him.

"Thank you. You always know what to say."

"I'm just being honest, baby. You were amazing and I could honestly watch you for hours. My eyes were only on you for most of the show if not all. I didn't want it to end because I just wanted to watch you slay the stage, but at the same time I wanted it to end because I wanted to come back stage and hold you in my arms forever."

"Thank you for coming to my show..."

"Of course," he whispers, kissing the top of her head. "What are you doing now? or well, later?"

She taps her chin lightly, shaking her head. "I have no plans. Why?"

"Let me take you out," he whispers softly. "Let me take you on a date. We haven't been on dates in so long due to our hectic schedules, so, I want to take you out. Will you let me?"

A grin spreads across her face and she immediately nods her head.

"Yes! of course I will let you. It's about time we got some alone time," she mumbles with a small huff. He chuckles in response before meeting the eyes of the rest of the group and their mischievous grins on their faces. He rolls his eyes playfully.

"Oh great. Perfect timing guys. We were having a moment," he tells the girls who in return simply laugh at him.

"We wanted to stop you before you ended up making out in front of our dressing room," Jennie teases with a soft laugh. "I don't want to see that. Ever. The only exception is your wedding," she says before falling into deep silence for a few moments as if in thought, "actually no, not even that is okay." Sungjae scoffs, rolling his eyes at the girl with a laugh. He has known the girls for some time ever since dating Rosie and he has grown accustomed to a lot of their jokes. He actually really enjoys their company.

"Ha ha ha funny. You don't get to have the priviledge of seeing us make out. Ever. Don't worry about that," he retorts with a small smirk. Lisa bursts out laughing, nudging Jennie lightly in the arm.

"You don't get the priviledge. Hear that? priviledge," Lisa says with a giggle, earning a small glare from Jennie before getting nudged back.

"Oh hush," she whines softly before looking over at the couple. "So, what are your plans? I hear dinner? can we join?"

"Oh no no no. Hell no," Sungjae says. "Well, not you at least," he points Jennie out with a playful smirk. She gasps, crossing her arms with a small huff.

"Well then. It's okay. I can buy myself a large pizza and pig out with netflix in front of me. I don't need you and your little date."

Rosie laughs softly, walking over to pat her friend's shoulder. "I will be out tonight, okay? don't wait out. We are going on our first date in ages."

"Have fun, yeah?" Lisa asks with a grin.

"Yeah, use protection. Don't need any mini Sungjae's and mini Rosie's running around anytime soon and ruining the little bit of beauty sleep I have left," Jennie jokingly says, earning a small nudge from Rosie.

"Yah!"

"Kidding! Anyway, you two kids have fun! text me when you're on your way home," Jennie tells the two, earning a nod from both. "Good. See you Rosie. See you DUNGjae," she calls him which is a nickname she has been using on him since the moment they met. It just stuck. He laughs softly, ruffling her hair before waving to the girls.

"See you girls around."

Once they retreat back into the dressing room, Sungjae turns to his girlfriend, taking her hand in his and intertwining their fingers. "So, what do you say we get out of here and get something to eat?"

Rosie lets out a sigh of relief, rubbing her tummy lightly.

"Please? I'm starving."

He chuckles, pulling his girlfriend along with him by the hand, all the while, keeping his eyes on her and only her.
