A dimly lit road makes it harder for the awareness of our surroundings but easier for someone with the intention to kill. Being at three in the morning, only two people remained on the street. With the darkness from the sky and the lack of sound made, the male behind was left unnoticed.

He's been following his target for the past two days. Today's the day he'll finally finish up his job. He pulled his hood over his head as he got closer to his target. His pace quickly increased as he reached for his loaded gun in his waistband. He quickly drew out his gun to aim it in between the male's chest. He smirked to himself slightly just before he pulled the trigger.

The loud bang echoed through the empty alley. As the man fell down, his smirk slowly faded. A young woman stared back at him with pure terror in her face. . He thought to himself. Before she could even move an inch, he cocked his gun once more before aiming it straight at her. The seemingly innocent woman found herself staring straight down the barrel of his gun.

Not knowing what else to do, she immediately raised both her hands. "Please, let me go." The young woman begged quietly but loud enough for him to hear. She was visibly shaking with fear. From her raised arms down to her legs, her entire body was trembling in front of him.

"I promise I won't tell anyone about this, please just let me go." She begged once more just as tears began to fall down her porcelain cheeks. He has heard many people pleading for him not to pull the trigger but he was never fazed by them. This time, something in him made him want to stop. "Please." She said quietly, finally looking directly into the gunman's eyes.

The wave of guilt slowly washed through his entire body. With each word she spoke in that trembling voice, he could feel how terrified she was. He lowered his gun slightly. He closed his eyes as he let out a sigh. "Go." He said quietly.

"Really?" She asked just as her tears stopped.

"Go now before I change my mind." He said before opening his eyes to meet hers.

"T-thank you." She said while stuttering slightly. Her eyes remained on the man in front of her as she lowered her arms. With her eyes focused on his gun, she quickly reached behind her to pull out her own gun. She quickly cocked it before aiming it straight at him. "Rule #2, Baby," She said with a devious smile.
