Kim Chaewon will go crazy if anything around her went missing.

It’s cold.

I rushed out of the room earlier I just grabbed a trench coat. The weather seemed to be colder than it seemed even though the sun was shining brightly in the sky. I fisted my hands in my coat pockets to keep warm. Foolishly, I even forgot to bring gloves.

But I kept walking along the streets to distract myself. Staying alone in the room made me even more depressed. I’m not sure why I thought of her more often than usual today. And every time I did, my tears will roll down my face. So I kept on walking, letting my feet take me anywhere it wanted.

I stopped.

I didn’t know how but I was suddenly across the street from Hollys Coffee. I saw the customers filling the seats and Hyewon was running around the ground floor. Finally, she’s doing her manager work.

And then I saw her, our Barista Minjoo. Handing cups to the customers. Even from a distance, I could tell that she wasn’t smiling like she always does. We might lose customers today. I began to think that the customers who kept coming back were charmed by her smile instead of her coffee. Her smile was just as addictive as caffeine.

Suddenly, I heard the beep from my phone. I got a message.

‘How are you?’ - Minjoo

I glanced through the glass wall and saw Minjoo leaning against the wall with her phone. I chuckled and quickly replied.

‘Missed me?’

‘I just don’t have anyone to bicker with.’

‘So you do miss me then ;)’

‘Whatever.’
