Remember Me?
Description
Just putting it out there
Foreword
Dark. Pitch black.
Without so much as a pinprick of light. Where the hell am I?
I could hear muffled voices seemingly a good distance away.
Hello?
I tried lifting my leg up but to no avail. What's going on?
Mom? Dad?
As if in response, the voices seem to be drawing closer. I strained my ears to grasp and make out of the words,
"... if keeping her alive and safe means depriving her of her childhood, we'll have to deal with it"
Slowly letting my eyes open just a crack, there I saw my parents talking to a doctor. But I haven't got any scheduled appointments. I'm perfectly fine. Why am I back here?
Suddenly, I felt stiff. I fully opened my eyes and was greeted by the sight of my stretched out arms and legs. I struggled to wriggle free, unconsciously letting out a scoff that my parents didn't turn a deaf ear on.
"Hey, bud", my dad crooned, running his hand through my hair. " How you feelin?"
"I wanna go home", my voice came out barely above a whisper.
"Baby... " said my mom who's blatantly been crying.
"It's fine, Mrs Manoban. So long as the instructions are followed through, she'll be alright", the doctor cut in before excusing himself.
