Where did we go wrong? I know we started out alright
Where did we go wrong? I swear I knew we'd last this time
Where did we go wrong? Oh did you, did you change your mind?
How could you change your mind?

We had been together for eight long years, transitioning from best friends in high school to lovers. Ours was the typical love story: a shy student falling for her famous best friend. What was supposed to be a one-sided affection turned out to be mutual. Those high school days were the happiest memories we shared. Not a day passed without us by each other's side. Our friends often teased us, annoyed by our sweetness. Yet, we were unapologetically in love, understanding the depth of our feelings for one another.

High school marked many firsts for us: our first relationship, first love, first date, first kiss, and our first night together. Needless to say, that night was unforgettable. We were both nervous and excited. After several heated make-out sessions that nearly pushed us further, we finally surrendered to our desires. I hadn't anticipated finding such a powerful addiction, but being with the love of my life, exploring every inch of her, feeling her touch against my skin, was an intoxication no drug could match. (Not that I had ever tried drugs or anything like that.)

"You drive me crazy, Ren. Crazy in love with you," I confessed.

College arrived, and that's when the real challenges began. We pursued different paths—I chose fine art, while you pursued medicine. Both were our dreams; I aspired to follow my passion for painting, while you aimed to follow your parents' footsteps and become a doctor. Despite the distance—nine miles apart—we supported each other's dreams, trusting our relationship enough to withstand the separation.

"I want a future with you, Seul. Let's work hard for it, okay?" you'd say.

The first year was manageable; we missed each other every day but ensured constant communication. Our nightly calls, though, eventually dwindled to brief messages like 'how's your day?' or sometimes nothing at all. We were both exhausted, unable even to compose a simple message. Chapter 5: She was just missing their intimate moments that when a man showed her affection, she fell into that. That being said, she was like hit by a truck when Seul left her after showing how she really loves her. Surprisingly, I'm not hurt for Joohyun huh.
