Somewhere in the heart of Cheongdam, Kim Kibum or better known as Shinee’s Key, was doing the most mundane task of the day. Back to back promotion for his Solo had kept him busy and on his feet for almost three months now. Schedule taking most of his time, his lovely home had turned into a pile of mess. Laundries had piled up in baskets; Commega’s toys littered the floor. Finally, in three months, he had time off for himself. Not having any plans, he decided to just stay home and clean it.

Putting his iPod on shuffle, Key began the task by swiping and dusting around. Dancing a little to the music as he went around straightening things and putting them back in their designated place. Suddenly, the music shifted and a very familiar voice started singing from his iPod. Key halted in his tracks, his attention caught on the lyrics.

Just as the last note faded, he couldn’t help but chuckle-

“Aish! This pabo! Always writing songs about me!” A flashback of when this song was released flashed in front of his eyes.

“Now that reminds me, he never told me how he was inspired for this song! Maybe I should message him and ask!” Key hummed in thought as he picked his phone to message. But before he could open the Kakao Talk app, today’s date caught his attention. 14^th Feb flashed on the corner of his screen.

“Omoo na! It’s Valentine’s Day today!!! How did I forget! Aish! You’re becoming old Kibum-ah!” he tapped his forehead.

“I know what I can do!! Heheheh!” deciding to himself, he made his way to the kitchen, forgetting all about cleaning.

After three hours, he was standing at the door of a very familiar house. He was covered from head to toe, hoping no one had followed him as he knocked. He had decided to bring his babies along, knowing he would be spending night here. The door was opened by a beautiful girl, who instantly smiled seeing him.

“Kibum-ah! Long time….How are you? Come in! Come in!” letting his puppies enter first, he followed after softly closing the door behind him. The pretty girl instantly squatted down to pet the puppies, squealing at their cuteness.

“Aigooo!!!! They are like little teddies! I love them!” Key couldn’t help but chuckle at the girl’s fawning over his babies.

“So Kibum-ah, how have you been? I must say you are becoming a stranger since your solo debut. Also! Congratulations on your solo debut! It’s Daebakkkk!” the girl cutely waved her fist in the air. Smiling, Key bowed a little.

“Thank you Noona! I’m happy you loved my songs! Here, I got you something. Happy Valentine’s Day Noona!” Key said as he handed her a box. Just then a voice called out to the girl.

“Who is it Sodam?”

“Umma it’s Kibum-ah! He brought us cake!”  The pretty girl, known as Sodam, replied. A lady in her late forties walked out of the kitchen, wiping her hands on the kitchen towel.

“Omoni! Long time!” Kibum bowed to the newly entered lady in respect, who in turn pulled him in a motherly hug as she placed a kiss on his forehead. 

“Aigoo-ya don’t you eat? You have grown so thin! You need to eat a lot, how else will those chubby cheeks come out hmmm? Dinner would be ready in sometime, I’ll myself make sure to feed you well!” Blushing a bit, Kibum hugged the lady tightly as she patted his back.

“Thank you Umma!”

“Aigoo! Aigoo! Come now upstairs you go, he’s in his room. Come Sodam, help me in the kitchen.” saying this, both the females made their way to the kitchen. Before Key could talk a step further, a soft welcoming bark came from his left. Squatting down, he called the little puppy that trotted her way towards him. As he petted her, she stood on her front paws and at his face, as if welcoming him in her own language.

“Roo-ya! Thank you for the warm welcome!” He said as he placed a kiss on the little puppy’s head. Taking off his babies’ leash, he left them in the living room to play as he made his way up the stairs. He knocked on the door softly and waited for the response. When none came, he twisted the handle, pushing the door a bit to peep.

There he was, sitting on his bed, bending over a note book, scribbling on it rapidly. Soft mumbles of frustration could be heard. Smiling at the sight, Key made his way toward him, shutting and locking the door behind him.

“Hyung…..” he called out even more softly so as to not startle the man who was currently blinking in confusion.

“Ki…bum??”

“Yes….Happy Valentine’s Day Jonghyun Hyung!” as if he just realized what day it was, the day the world celebrated in honor of love, he bolted from his bed, pulling Kibum in a tight embrace!

“Happy Valentine’s Day Bummiee! I’m so sorry…..I forgot!” Patting his back softly, Kibum replied,

“It’s ok hyung, I myself remembered it late. Here hyung, I made this for you.” Kibum handed a box of his special homemade chocolates.

“For me?” Jonghyun asked to make sure, as he opened the box, taking the small treat out.

“Who else would I give chocolates to on Valentine’s day Pabo hyung!” Kibum chuckled. Nodding in return, he quickly popped the sweet in his mouth, humming in satisfaction as it melted on his tongue instantly.

“This is sooooo gooood!!! Thank you Bummiee!!”

“My Pleasure hyung! I’m happy you liked it! What were you doing when I came in?” Kibum asked as he made his way to the bed, picking the forgotten note.

Scribbled on it were lyrics, probably to the new song. As he flipped through the book, he came across the lyrics he had heard the singer sing in the afternoon on his Ipod. Suddenly, the reason for this visit popped in his mind.

“Hyung….you never told me what inspired you to write the lyrics for Hallelujah.”

Coming over to stand next to Kibum, Jonghyun replied without a moment’s hesitation,

“Of course you did!”

“No I mean….this line “The masterpiece that is you….. A holy perfection” how did you get inspired to put it this way. We have known each other for so long, how come suddenly I was described this way?”

“Ah that! Well….it’s way back when we attended Mnet 20’s Choice Award, when you had that rainbow hair. Sitting behind you, I couldn’t stop admiring how beautiful you looked, all pale skinned, colorful haired. You really looked like a masterpiece! It’s really embarrassing, but I couldn’t keep my eyes off you. I’m sure there must be many picture of me blatantly staring at you on the internet. Nothing goes pass our Shawols!” He said chuckling a little.

“And how about “She is”? Foxy Eyes….Thick Eyebrows...pouty Lips….What about that time?”

“That’s how you look everyday Bum! Wasn’t that like the best description of you? Hehehe!!!!!” Jonghyun laughed, seeing Kibum pout. Then he pulled him towards himself, softly kissing away the pout.

“I love you Bummie!” as he deepened the kiss. When they started losing oxygen, they pulled away, placing their foreheads on each other.

“I…love you…too hyung! Never leave me” Kibum panted.

“Never….you are forever mine…..” Jonghyun whispered, tightening his arms around Kibum.

“Yes, Forever Yours…..”

Time when Jonghyun Oppa couldn't keep his eyes of Key Oppa!
