Maybe... [Junsol}

Description

Hansol is given the task of taking his younger brother to the tutor but maybe it won't turn out to be as bad of a task as he thought.

Foreword

Hansol the coffee pot inhaling the beautiful scent, it was his favorite. It brought back memories of his dad brewing a pot every morning before work, due to that Hansol followed his footsteps. It may seem pointless to most people because Hansol worked at a café and could easily just get coffee there but to Hansol it was necessary and he couldn’t start his day without it.

“Did mom already leave?” Kijung asked scanning the kitchen.

Kijung was Hansol’s little brother. The only way you could really describe him is as an overgrown baby. He was a few inches taller than Hansol despite the seven-year and had the most adorable cheeks that everyone just wanted to pinch.

“Yeah, she left about a half hour ago, why? Were you going to give her the puppy eyes again?” Hansol questioned.

“Hyung please don’t make me go.” Kijung whined stomping his foot on the ground.

“Maybe you should’ve studied like I told you to and you wouldn’t have to go get tutoring.” Hansol tsked pouring coffee into his cup.

“Why couldn’t I have a nice older brother” Kijung pouted grabbing a handful of cereal.

“Why couldn’t I have a normal younger brother who eats cereal with milk” Hansol replied rolling his eyes.

Way too soon for Kijung’s liking they were already in the car.

“Can I at least have control of the aux since I can’t have control of my life” Kijung asked.

“Go ahead you know I don’t care” The older brother replied.

Looking at Kijung you would assume he listens to cute and poppy music but in fact, he liked the opposite. Kijung loved Day6 and Dreamcatcher. He has always been into that style of music and Hansol assumed it had something to do with their dad’s music taste.

As they reached their destination Hansol lowered the volume of “I Wait.”

“I don’t want to.” The younger sat there with his arms crossed over his chest.

“Here we go again.” Hansol muttered under his breath. He opened his car door and walked to his younger brothers’ side of the car. He proceeded to open his door staring at him pointedly.

“I refuse. You can’t make me.” Kijung stated holding his ground.

Hansol unbuckled his seat belt and began trying to pry his younger brother out of the car. Kijung didn’t let up on whining, repeatedly saying no.

“No. Don’t make me do it.” Hansol heard and surprisingly it wasn’t from his little brother.

Curious, Hansol released Kijung’s leg and turned to see a similar situation.

“You can’t get him out of the car either.” Hansol asked walking up to the stranger.

The man turned around facing him. He was, to say the least, beautiful. He was taller than Hansol maybe even taller than Kijung. His hair was light brown with highlights that blended naturally into his hair.

“Oh my god, why did I talk to him” Hansol asked himself, in is head of course.

The taller man laughed and Hansol thought he couldn’t possibly get any more attractive.

“I saw you wrestling your… little brother?” The nameless man asked.

“Huh- oh yeah he’s my little brother.” Hansol peered into the car of the man investigating the situation. The boy in his car looked to be the same age as the taller man. “And I’m going to assume this is your friend?”

“Yes, this is my stubborn friend, Chan.” He replied. “Chan get out here and introduce yourself.”

Slowly but surely a smaller body appeared from behind the beautiful stranger. The boy seemed nice and sweet Hansol thought maybe he wasn’t the one screaming from before and that someone was else was hidden inside the car.

“Nice to meet you” Chan said with a smile and then leaned over to the taller man and asked, “is this my tutor Jun?”

“Jun?” Hansol asked.

“Oh- I’m sorry I never told you my name. I’m Junyoung but no one calls me that so you can call me Jun.” He smiled.

Hansol previously thought no one could be any more cute than his younger brother but after seeing Jun’s gummy smile, he was proven wrong.

“Hansol?” Kijung’s voice called out.

“Huh?” Hansol turned around to be met with his younger brother.

“Your name is Hansol I am going to assume.” Jun said laughing slightly.

“Yes, it is.” Hansol said getting flustered for some unknown reason.

“Looks like you got my friend out of the car and I got your brother out.” Jun said smiling again.

“I guess so. Speaking of, get into that building right now Kijung. If you’re late again you’re not getting ice cream later.” Hansol said getting back on track.

With a heavy sigh, sure enough, Kijung followed his brothers’ orders and slowly dragged his feet to get to the building.

“You too Chan.” Jun said tearing his eyes away from Hansol.

Hansol hadn’t even realized he had been staring the whole time until he stopped and could a weight being lifted off his chest.

“Do you really mean no ice cream?” Chan asked fear laced in his voice.

“Yes.” Jun replied.

Extremely faster than Hansol’s little brother, Chan began walking to the building.

“Thanks for your threat tactics.” Jun said laying his eyes back on Hansol making the shorter boys chest feel heavy again.

“No problem, I’m glad to help.” Hansol said feeling his ears getting warmer. “Well- uh, I think I should go.” He said stuttering over his words.

“Wait- do you want to maybe grab coffee?” Jun asked.

“Actually, I don’t know-” Hansol started but after seeing the smile on Jun’s face start to drop he hurriedly changed his sentence “I mean we can but I’m afraid you would just be taking me to work. “My shift starts in about a half hour and I work at a café so I don’t know if you would really want to.”

“When do you get off?” Jun replied.

“Um 4:30” Hansol responded.

“When is your break?” Jun questioned again.

“1, why?” Hansol asked confused.

“I’m taking you out for lunch. Let me see your phone.” The taller boy asked and even though Hansol knew it was question and not a demand he felt he didn’t have much of an option to deny giving him his phone. That didn’t matter much though because Hansol wanted to give it to him anyway.

“Here you go, I texted myself for you. Text me the address of your work. I’ll be there at 1 on the dot. Bye Hansol, see you later.” Jun said handing Hansol back his phone and climbing into his car.

Hansol stood there shocked for a moment, watching Jun’s car leave the parking lot. As soon as it left his vision Hansol regained control over his body.

He opened his phone and was greeted with Jun’s contact. He saved himself as “Junnie” with the two pink hearts emoji next to his name.

Hansol smiled and felt his heart begin to flutter.

Maybe this was the beginning to something Hansol thought to himself. Just maybe.
