"It's funny, isn't it?" The older girl asks with her eyes that are roaming around with her lips that's now wide to show her radiant smile, despite of being sick.

"What's so funny you idiot?" The young doctor asked back with a worried look on her face, giving the patient's hand a firm squeeze

"Nothing, I like being like this." The patient said before coughing out loud, which caused the doctor to stand up and hand her a glass of cold water, the girl who was coughing took the glass and finally felt the refreshing feeling of the water to at least calm .    

Silence was filled inside of the hospital room and the doctor is fully aware that there is someone who is waiting for her too, but she cannot just leave this sick patient easily. 

"I might die soon, Lip. Why did you even volunteer to be my doctor?" Jung Jinsoul asked while her eyes continuously blinks, grabbing the young doctor's hand while shaking her head.

Kim Jungeun wanted to avoid that kind of question, especially if it's from someone who supported her before she became a doctor, it's difficult for her to tell the truth, so she came up with a lie. That may or may not comfort the patient, "I had no choice, Soul. I might lose my job if I'm going to reject this." Both of them laughed while staring at each other's brown orbs, the young doctor pressed her lips against the patient's forehead before whispering her words, "Just- Just promise me that you will not die under my watch, Jung Jinsoul."

"No promises, Jungeun. But I'll try."
