Chapter 7

“You asked a human to help us?”

Minju’s jaw dropped.

“You do realize that I am the HEAD ANGEL, right? I monitor everything,” Eunbi simply organized her papers and set them aside.

“Am-am I in trouble?” Minju quietly asked.

“Not necessarily. As long as we win, then I’ll set it aside,” Eunbi gestured to Chaeyeon.

“As long as she can help us win, I can avoid being in trouble with your parents. It’s a win-win situation,”

Minju turned and looked at Chaeyeon and then Eunbi. She smiled so widely and pulled Eunbi into and embrace.

“I’ll never talk bad about you again!” Minju shouted with joy.

“Wait, what?”

“Oh, nothing!”

Eunbi shook her head. “Get to class or I’ll change my mind. Leave Chaeyeon here until you have practice,”

Minju didn’t really like the thought of leaving Chaeyeon here. She was slightly attached to her now.

“Chaeyeon… Will you be alright here?” Minju asked.

“Don’t worry about me” Chaeyeon smiled at Minju and pushed her out the door.

Once Minju left, Chaeyeon and the Head angel were left in silence.

The head Angel got up and checked her cabinet and said nothing much.

Chaeyeon broke the silence.

“When is the dance competition?”

Eunbi raised her eyebrows and faced Chaeyeon.

“She didn’t tell you when it’ll take place?”

“No ma’am”

Eunbi sighed. “It takes place on Friday. You only have 4 days, unfortunately…”

“WHAT? FOUR DAYS?” Chayeaon began to panic.

“WHAT AM I DOING HERE THEN!!! AISH, I SHOULD BE COMING UP A CHOREOGRAPHY!!” Chaeyeon was shouting and many people could hear her.

“First calm down” Eunbi went to Chaeyeon’s side and patted her back.

“Minju chose you. You’ll do fine.”

Chaeyeon wasn’t fine though. She felt so much pressure. She began to remember, the day she tried to try out for Momo’s dance team.

Her breathing became heavy. Her vision blurred.

“Chaeyeon. Chaeyeon!” Eunbi rushed to Chaeyeon’s side.

Chaeyeon was having a panic attack. She felt like the walls were closing in on her.

Eunbi seated Chaeyeon against a wall and hurried to her office closet. She opened the closet and rummaged through a bunch of bottles that contained some sort of medicine. She picked up and jade green bottle and rushed to Chaeyeon.

“Chaeyeon, swallow this, it will soothe your panic attack”

Chaeyeon nodded as much she could and drank a bit of what was inside. Her breathing was becoming normal and her vision returned.

“Are you okay?” 

Chaeyeon gasped, “Yes. Thank you”
