She came from a kingdom of ruined people. Born into a crumbling world, riased by corrupted people. She was laughed at for being different, for not being.. human. They never figured out how she became what she was, though rumors told her mother made love with another. It wasn’t true, she had her father’s dark eyes, her mother’s sandy hair. Yet she was, different.
She left behind her life at a young age, right after she was able to walk after her almost fatal injury. Hell, she would’ve crawled out of that kingdom if she’d been there any longer. She didn’t mind her scars, just the people who spoke of them.
Supposedly, rumors said she’d come for power, that she was a divine creature worth the money to have, to keep. The more they spoke, the more agitated she got. And for the first time, she had thoughts of using her bare fists to shed blood, just for the satisfaction of knowing they’d shut up.
She was a brawler, but never really used her fists unless she had to. She was thought of the stereotypical innocent, clumsy, dumb-witted angel. You can that she is opposite once you pissed her off.

But as she grew up the more she began to ask questions about herself and even asked the humans who she knew as her parents all her life. However, they always told her lies and said that she was their loving daughter that they birthed.
Her true identity didn’t come to light though until one day as she was playing outside and was surrounded by bears. She thought she was done for until her primal instincts kicked and killed the group of bears effortlessly, but the act of defending herself left her unconscious and to found again by her parents who were shocked to see her with horns and a tail. However, despite her identity secretly being that of a monster they still loved her and looked after her until it was the right time to tell her everything she needed to know.
But with that information only came more questions. Who was her real parents? Who was she really? Why is it that she is only finding out about this now? What should she do now that she knows that she isn’t human like the people who raised her? All those answers had yet to be answered for Hyomin, but she ultimately decided to part ways from the people who loved her up until the grown woman she became and travel the world in search of answers.

Jeongguk was never born different. He was a regular child, but during a harsh winter the true Jeongguk had fallen ill. His parents, in a desperate attempt to save him, called upon a well-known witch. This witch sent her apprentice to save the boy, but instead of curing him of his illnesses the apprentice instead summoned something much worse. A demon possessed the child and suddenly Jeongguk was different. He was now a monster.
His parents knew right away that the shining red that flashed across the boy's eyes was something otherworldly. Jeongguk was no longer their child. They cast him out and he was sent to an orphanage. It didn't take long for the young demon to run off.
Unluckily, Jeongguk was picked up by a group of royal soldiers who would eventually turn him into a tool for their kingdom. They gave him a place to sleep and food to eat. In return Jeongguk was to do as he was told and never ask questions. He belonged to the king now and would do his bidding. That included murdering anyone that was against the king.
Jeongguk was an assassin, one that would kill to survive another day in this godforsaken place.
