i.
the room is silent. shocked faces unable to comprehend the reasoning behind her decision from all around the table, yet she sits at the end; determination and purpose rolling off of her in waves. if her father could see her now he' d be as proud as the day she was born. " y-you're sure..? this is what you want? " the look in her eyes says it all, there's no going back on this. " yes, i want to be in a group. " 。

every step she's taken has lead her up to this point. the lights are blinding, the silence defeaning and her heart is pounding so hard she's sure it could escape her chest at any moment. the crowd before her isn't by any means large, but their lack of amusement invokes an almost primal fear inside of her. she glances around, words caught in while the music plays, mockingly — this was supposed to be her debut, it was supposed to go without a hitch. it was supposed to be perfect, so why? why was she frozen in place looking out into a half empty crowd filled with nothing but disappointment and annoyance? 。

failure, it's all they've ever known – group after group after group without success. there were no formulas, no tutorials, no cheat sheets on how to rise to fame; on how to become big. little by little all their savings began to dwindle, not only that but their groups began to disband and leave the company. it wasn't long before melodia had not a single note to play and their company went under. 。
it was a struggle, trainees either terminated their contracts or tried their best to hold out in hopes of becoming the next big thing. but they weren't enough, it seemed they were never and could never be enough. they were missing something. or someone. 。

out of the blue i've returned, invigorated and excited to present to you the product of an amalgamation of ideas that will soon be a lot clearer when the plot is explained further! this is a girl group fic, one that won't interfere with the work we're going to do with war of roses ( which will come back soon!!! ) and instead will help us better understand how to write a story like wor. although not at all taking place in the same universe, i want to be able to improve myself and my writing / story telling through this fic and use what i've gained to become a better author for those interested in wor! so, take this as a sort of prologue to our future endeavors. i hope that this story can pique your interests and that it can be something different amongst the sea of fics in the same category! 。

though i can't say i've returned, after a cycle of laying low i'll be joining lilith on this journey and with just as much dedication, hopefully. this is a plot that i'm very fond of, which i wish is true for other people than myself, and i'm excited to see how this idea will develop as a story. i also intend to gain experience and grow thanks to this fic so i can carry that with me onto other projects ( this has been a shameless war of roses plug-in ). forgive me for being repetitive but, just like my co-author, hope the story has grabbed your attention in some way so you can hear more from us and about the fic soon! 。
