You were crying as the lightning struck in the dark black gray sky. Rain was pouring endlessly, and everything looked so damp. You were sitting under a tree in front of a well lit house. A happy family was sitting down at the dinner table, eating blissfully. A little handsome boy who was wearing a blue shirt caught your attention. His cute smile warmed you up. The strike of lightening ruined the moment, making you muffle silently, on your knees, shaking with fear. It felt like the storm was never gonna end as it continued to rain furiously.
Then abruptly the rain just stopped........ just like that. You didn't feel cold anymore. You looked up to find the very same family you were watching a while ago, in front of you.
"Hello sweetie," the woman greeted you with a sweet voice, sweet as honey. "Where are your parents?" she continued.
You sniffled once and answered, "They're gone," a tear sliding down your cheek.
"Honey. Come here," the nice lady opened her arms up to you for a hug. You stared at her arms in tears for a second, before you went into them and felt her kind warmness. The woman carried you inside their amiable home and started to dry your hair with a towel. You silently waited until she was done. Meanwhile, you had a look around at the huge room you were in.
"I'll get some dry clothes," the women stood up and went off to get them. For the moment you continued to scrutinize the room. By the looks of it, the room seemed like a guy's room. You went up to a mini table, and took a hold of a picture. It was a picture of the family. The parents were embracing each other while the two boys were making goofy faces to the side. You giggled a little and placed it back where it was.
"Hey," someone poked you from behind.
"I'm sorry!" you turned around and bowed at the smiling boy in front of you.
"My name is Joon," he grinned widely and straightened you up.
"Um... I'm ~~~~~~~~~~~," you nervously spoke.
"That's a cute name," he complimented as he held your hand.
"Thanks."
"Joon!" another boy ran towards him and tackled him. You watched as they wrestled each other.
"Boys! Boys! We have a guest!" their mom had come back with dry clothes.
"Sorry Umma!" they both bowed to their mom and you.
"Boys, introduce yourselves," she ordered.
"Yo, I'm Minchul!"
"Of course, you already know me," Joon said.
"Nice to meet you. I'm Cho ~~~~~~~~~~~~," you said mostly to Minchul and their mom.
"Nice to meet you too. From now on you'll live with us. You'll be my daughter," she declared.
"Ok," you shyly responded. She helped you put on your PJs in the bathroom.
"Ok, boys. Go to bed. And ~~~~~~~~ you can sleep in Joon's bed for today," she instructed them when she was finished helping you."Yep," they both replied as she left. "Yea!!! We have a sister!" they cheered and jumped up and down. "How old are you? " Minchul asked.
" 5," you responded.
"Yea!!! We have a little sister!!" they cheered more. You walked you to Joon and pulled at his PJs, that now he was wearing.
"What is it little sis," he asked.
"Um.... which one is your bed?"
"That one." you went up to it and crawled under the covers. Soon the lights were off, Joon had gone to Minchul's bed to sleep. You were about to fall asleep until the thunder from the storm, startled you. You muffled a little trying to keep quiet or you would awake Joon and Minchul. Someone came to your side and poked you.
"Joon," you trebled in fear as lightening struck.
"Are you scared?"he asked. You nodded. "Don't worry. It can't hurt you. I'll protect you. I'll defeat that lightening," he raised his fist at the window where you could see the lightening. You giggled at his weirdness, making you feel a bit better. He crawled under the covers with you and embraced you. "Don't worry. I'm your oppa and I'll protect you. That's what big brothers are for," he spoke softly.
"Oppa? Can I call you that?" you questioned.
"Yeah." You warmly smiled for the once time in a long time, since your parents' deaths.
