Make Believe.

It was only make believe. Part of a story. Part of a line in the script that was given to him. He was going to say I love you. It had been too long since he had said those words and meant it. Now, he was kind of pissed that he would have to tell a lie. He saw her enter the room and called out,

"I love you!"

She gapes at him and everyone stared at him like he was an alien from outer space.

"What?" He exclaims, he waves the script at them, "It's part of the story!"

"Tell me a story?" She had her feet on his lap while he had a hand around her ankle. They were listening to the rain while he read a book.

"Once upon a time, I fell in love with a girl named Sandara." He begins not looking away from his book.

"Oooh! That's my favorite story!"She grins at him.

"Mine too." He peers out of his book with a grin of his own.
