Park Sandara is a successful PR consultant, but more than that she was one of the most sought after bachelorette in Seoul. This, to her, was more of a pain in the than anything else. So she was beautiful, successful and rich. But this only made men either too arrogant to have the guts to approach her or too intimidated to even look at her. So on her lunch with her best friend, Choi Seung hyun, she gives the largest sigh humanly possible.

"Excuse me, sir?"

Dara gives a chuckle and asks the waiter for Mimosa instead. "You're ridiculous, Seung hyun."

"You're ridiculous. Why sigh like you want to drown the whole world with your misery? Why are you even miserable, Miss Hot Shot Most Wanted Woman in Seoul?"

She rolls her eyes, "It's my birthday next month."

He takes a sip of water, his brow up in mild curiosity. He lowers is glass. "Mine is too. You don't see me being miserable."

"I'm turning thirty!"

At this, Seung hyun mischieviously pinches her cheeks, "Aww, Santokki, age is just a number."

She doesn't even bother to wrestle out of his grasp. "I can hear it."

He lets her go, losing interest in mischief, if she wasn't going to scold him.  "Hear what?"

"The ticking of my biological clock."

He stares at her then breaks into a hearty laugh, "Come on, Dara. You're way too young for this. Way too young."

"You don't understand! The peak reproductive age for humans is in between 19-29. I am missing my reproductive peak!"

"Then why don't you do one of those artificial insemination thingy?"

She looks at him appalled. "I don't want my child to not know his father! And besides I want to have hands on parenting for my child. And it would be great if I know the person too. I mean, I don't have to be together with him, I just need him around for the kid... and..."

He watches her escalate in panic and just blurts out, "Okay, how about me?"

"What?"

He playfully winks at her. "I know, for your thirtieth birthday, I am giving you the gift of our child."

"What?"

"You've always told my mother we had incredible genes. Well, get into your swim suits, tokki. Welcome to our gene pool."

"What? Are you serious?"

"Yeah, but for my birthday, I want you to not request for artificial insemination... we should do it au naturel."

She frowns at him. "You're asking me to have ."

"No, I am asking you to e."

"That's the same, Seung hyun."

"Well, my word sounds more scientific."

"This is not very smart."

"How is it not smart? It's two adults deciding to have a child together. We grew up together, you think I look dashing in a suit. You know I am not stupid. We have been best friends for 20 years, I would never abandon you. I would never fall out of love from you because I wasn't in it in the first place. It's actually like deciding to be family with my family already." He takes her by the hand and gives it a gentle squeeze.

She blinks at him, wrinkles her nose and exclaims, "This is crazy."

"You know what's crazy? The statistics of divorce, legal separation and child custody battles. Why put our kid through that? So we once and have a kid, we date other people along the way but raise our child together. We did swear to be best friends forever when you were ten. I intend to keep that promise. So all in all I am the best candidate for your baby-daddy, Santokki."

Sandara could only stare at him and chew on her lip in indecision, "You think?"

"Yes."

"But we're not ually attracted to each other."

"True, you're too scrawny for me."

She slaps his hand playfully "You're too rough around the edges."

"I know you prefer flower boys. You're almost half-way lesbian."

"What?"

"I mean, it doesn't matter... we'll just watch or something."

She sighs, then takes a large inhale. She sticks out her hands at him, "Well, okay, Mr. Choi. I shall take your business proposal on being my baby daddy."

He chuckles and takes her hand in his and gives a strong enthusiastic handshake, "You do know I'm no longer getting you a gift, right?"
