Every Sunday was usually the same for Zhong Chenle. Get up at 8am, eat a small breakfast his Mother had cooked, get dressed in his church clothes and sit through his regular Sunday service with a smile on his face. A smile so endearing, so big and bright you couldn't help but love the small boy. Chenle was always quiet during service, obviously out of respect, but as soon as the two hour mark ended the Chinese boy was quick to make conversation; he always spoke to the two old sisters that sat by the tall flowers first.

His Mother bragged to the other women about how 'cheery and handsome' her only son was while his Father would talk to their neighbor. Eun-Jin's own father to be exact. Chenle wasn't one to dislike people, goodness no, but the boy couldn't help but get irritated everytime her name was brought into a normal conversation.

Every Sunday was usually the same for Zhong Chenle. Usually.

  "Donghyuck, I'm not going."

  "Jisung, yes you are."

Donghyuck and Jisung, middle school acquaintances and high school best friends, had been arguing for at least twenty minutes now. About what, you ask? Donghyuck calmy and politely asked his younger friend Jisung to accompany him at church that Sunday. Why Donghyuck had wanted him to go so bad flew right past Jisung.

"Give me two good reasons I should go, Lee!" Jisung shouted as he was tucking himself back into the covers.

"One: you'll be a good friend and– and..." Jisung raises his eyebrows, getting ready to make a sarcastic retort as soon as Donghyuck jumps on his bed. "There's a really cute boy you'll like, hm?"

The younger boy looks his annoying friend's face up and down before looking into his eyes and huffs loudly.

"Don't think that just because I'm going now I'll go again."

Hyuck laughs loudly when Jisung trips on his blanket and falls flat on the floor. A glare sent Hyuck's way is all he needed to be shut up. The older of the two slipped off the bed, being careful to not trip, and went to go put his shoes on,

"I'll be waiting in the car, Ji!"

Jisung doesn't have time to give a response before he hears the door slam shut so he settles for rolling his eyes. Sarcasm was always an answer if you were sixteen years old and being forced to go to a church you've never even heard of. At this point he wasn't even going for Donghyuck, he was going for the promise of a cute boy.

Ripped jeans, beat up sneakers and a red sweater: perfect church wear.

Clouds made way for the sun to show, birds chirped beautiful melodies and it was fairly warm with a gentle breeze. Chenle loves days like these, days that put a bigger smile on his face. He walked past the sunflowers with a smile, opened the tall doors for everyone accompanied by a toothy grin, when he sat down and looked at the beautiful stained glass windows he beamed a look of happiness. Had there ever been a day of grief for the boy? A time of sadness? You could never tell.

The sermon and benediction were Chenle's favourite parts; he loved listening to what the Minister had to say since he always made it interesting. Benediction just made Chenle feel a little more loved, the feeling of being blessed by God never failed to make the young boy's day. That and speaking to the old sisters of course, they would always make the Chinese boy laugh. Right after Go Now In Peace that's definitely where he would be making way. Or so he thought.

"Look–" Donghyuck grabbed Jisung's shoukder and turned him towards a small boy with wavy brown hair, "–him, that's the cute guy, Ji."

Cute indeed. He had small lips but a big smile, pearly whites on display for everyone to see. A nose that was extra boopable, strong jaw with cute, rosy cheeks and amazing eyebrows. Not to mention how soft his hair looked even from afar.

  "You gonna stop staring?"

Jisung blinked a couple times and shrugged Donghyuck's hands off of his shoulders in pure disgust, "What? I wasn't staring, just– just go away and don't bother me."

The older male scoffed, "I brought you to this Church and i can take you right out!"

  "Whatever you say, mom."

Just as Chenle was making his way to the back aisles, he bumped into something– someone. He looked up with wide eyes to apologize but lost his train of thought when he saw how gorgeous the person in front of him was. He was taller than Chenle, most people were but that's not the point, his plump lips were turned up into a smile that the ogling boy could get used to.

"Hi, I'm Jisung." The taller boy with bleached hair and the tiniest bit of makeup littered around his eyes stuck his hand out near Chenle's. Said boy's eyes glanced at the hand in front of his face.

"I'm," his eyes shifted from Jisung to his father's on the other side of the church, he sticks his hand out quickly and took Jisung's in his, "I'm Chenle; Zhong Chenle if you wanted a full name. I've got to– I need to do some things... Um, see you around?"

Jisung frowned, he really was set on making conversation with Zhong Chenle. Getting his name was better than no discussion at all, he thought. The corners of his lips were tugged into another warming grin and his grip tightened ever so slightly on the hand he never let go of,

"Of course." Before pulling away fully, Jisung brought the smaller hand up to his lips and gave it a small kiss. Blush littered the brunette's cheeks and down his neck, the tips of his ears tinted the slightest pink as well. Jisung chuckled, his cheeks lifting up to create an adorable eye smile. He spared one last glance at Chenle and winked before walking towards the tan boy he entered the church with.

That boy sure is brave... Chenle smacked his cheeks a couple times, blinking rapidly and trying to think of something other than the really cute boy he just met. Cute? No, definitely not.

  "Hi, Chenle!"

He knew who that voice belonged to, the over exaggerated chirp in it was the greatest giveaway.

"Eun-Jin," a fake smile and a happy tone never failed, "How are you?"

;;

A eating smirk was graced on Donghyuck's features, Jisung didn't like it.

  "Before you say anything–"

"You're already in love with him, I swear! I saw the way you looked at him, pure heart eyes nobody could miss em'!" He just kept rambling while Jisung just kept ignoring.

  This was the usual.
