I - Meeting Him
Trust“You look too healthy for someone who have high fever.” You raise an eyebrow, shifting your weight on the other leg as you watch the old woman in front of you attend her small garden in the backyard.
“Oh, I took some meds and the fever went down.”
“I must say I’m impress. Your fever is down in..” you steal a glance on your wrist watch as dramatic gesture, “…two hours. What kind of sorcery is this?”
Your grandmother put down the anvil and stand up with small laughter escape past through her lips. “You caught me but that’s because I missed you, young lady. And it’s been awhile since I last saw you.”
The corners of your lips twitch up at the warm words. “It’s just three week since we last saw each other, nanny.”
“Oh shush. For me three weeks is like years. I baked your favorite chocolate chips by the way.”
You whined. “You can’t keep doing this to me, nanny.”
Your grandmother laughed before she pulls you into a big hugs only to dragging you into the house after that. “That’s because you are my favorite sunshine.”
Sighing softly, you shake your head at your grandmother antic. You know she must feel lonely living by herself but you also have your own life. “Don’t be too bias. You have three other grandchildren who love you.”
Your grandmother snort. “But they are not like you.”
“I have a feeling you are up to something-ouch!” You moaned in pain when your grandmother smack your shoulder way too hard for your liking. You open your mouth about to retort back but being cut off when you heard a loud hiss as soon as you step into the living room and you froze on your feet seeing a stranger in your grandmother house.
“W-who are you? We need to call the police!” You take a step back, dragging your grandma with you as you pull out your cell phone only to be smack once again by your grandmother.
“Nanny! What is wrong with you?” You grimace in pain, rubbing the same spot that she just hit only to be confused when your grandmother approach the stranger and the stranger envelope his arms around your grandmother frame from behind and buried his face on the older woman’s neck before he steals a glance at your way.
“It’s okay, Chim. She’s my granddaughter, Ji Ae. The one that I told you before.” You grandmother pats his hand gently, trying to reassure the cat hybrid that you are not a threat to her.
“I-“ you avert your gaze
