Looking outside the window, watching those students walking with their so called besfriend, myoui mina doesn't notice the cub who's calling her name for the nth time

"MINA!" the cub shouted

Mina broke down from her trance and look at chaeyoung

"we're only 5 inches apart you don't have to shout at me"

"for your information i've been calling you for million times"

"oh yeah, that's too exag."

Chaeyoung glance at where mina was looking before and by that she already know what it is

"let's go home? " chaeyoung asked

Mina only answer her with a nod.

Mina is a not a normal student, she's a vampire, the reason why she doesn't have any friend aside from chaeyoung, because she can't control her thirst for blood. There are times where she just wanted to drink anyone's blood and she has no idea when will it happen.

Her daily routine would be, go to school and then after school go straight to her apartment and lock herself, good thing there is chaeyoung.

Chaeyoung is her guardian, she either is not an ordinary human. she was born to protect and guide mina.

Chaeyoung notice mina's quietness so she tried to break the ice and ask

"hey minari, wanna stop by at the nearest park before going home?"

"chaeng, you know i can't. There's a lot of kids there, what if my thirst for blood came?" mina answered her, both worry and sadness can be seen all over her face

"remember I am here with you, come on"

Chaeyoung grab mina's hand without waiting for her answer and run towards the park

They are seating at the park watching kids play when suddenly chaeyoung stand up,

"wait here, I'm just gonna buy some ice cream for us"

"but, what if-" mina tried to reason out

"you'll be fine, just wait here. It wont take long"

Chaeyoung leave mina to buy some ice cream, but after a few minutes, she felt something inside her. she know, her thirst is coming. She wanted to leave but she can't move

MINA POV

It's coming, i know this feeling. I can't. It can't happen here. Where are you chaeyoung? I need you.

I can't control it anymore, i tried to fight back but the next thing i knew i was on top of a guy, biting his neck, drinking his fresh blood

A tears started to flow from my eyes, i dont want this, i want to stop, but i can't

After a while someone embrace me and cover me with a jacket, i felt so scared, but then she talk

"I'm sorry it's my fault, don't be scared i'm here now" i felt relieve cause i know chaeyoung is with me now

END OF MINA'S POV

they got home, mina goes straight to her room and lock her door. Chaeyoung let her because she knows what the older is feeling and she knows she needs time for herself.

After preparing the dinner chaeyoung called mina, they ate silently

"let's go to the rooftop" chaeyoung broke the silence between them

Mina gave her a small nod

AT THE ROOFTOP

"here" chaeyoung gave mina an ice cream

"we didn't got to eat ice cream before" she continue

Mina took the ice cream, still haven't say a single word so chaeyoung look at her with worry

She saw some wetness in mina's eyes, it broke her heart. She knows mina is suffering for so long now. She's already 20 years old and still can't even make any friends, All she wanted was for mina to live a normal life, but she's too selfish, she knows there's a way for mina to turn into a normal girl but chaeyoung want's her only for herself.

"MINA LOOK! A FALLING STAR" Chaeyoung shouted excitedly after seeing a wishing star

Both of them close their eyes and make their wish

"what did u wish?" chaeyoung ask

"to become a normal girl" mina simply reply still looking at the sky "how about you?"

"i wish for your wish to be granted"

They stay at the rooftop for another hour, just looking at the sky, until chaeyoung felt someone in her shoulder

She look at the sleeping beauty and kiss her head

"all i want is for you to be happy mina" she whisper to her with a single tear fell from her eye.

The next day, mina woke up because of the sunlight from outside. She walk out from her room and saw a lot of foods in her kitchen

She saw a letter at the middle of the table

Minari,

I had so much fun last night, spending my last night with you was the best. I also wanna say sorry cause i kissed you on your lips while you're sleeping. To tell you honestly there's no falling star last night, i'm sorry to trick you, but still there's a star who wanted to grant your wish, and that's me. I should've done this a long long time ago, i was so selfish, i'm sorry. Now i will guide and protect you from a far be sure to make lots of friends ok? Youre not a vampire anymore, so you wont need me. Goodbye mina, meeting you was the best thing happened in my life. I love you

Mina cries after reading the letter she tried looking for chaeyoung anywhere in the house believing that it was all prank but found no one

She remember what her parent told her when she was young

"be good to your guide mina ok? They can turn you into a normal girl in exchange for their life"

And with that, she regret, she regret wishing to become normal, she regret wishing to that star, and most of all she regret not telling chaeyoung that she loves her that she's inlove with her.
