Chapter Two. The officer was quick to reach her home before she was late for work, as she walks, she spotted her ex boyfriend in his car, in front of her house. He had been calling and texting her but she intentionally ignored his calls and texts, she wasn't joking when she declared to him they were over, she had it enough with him and this will be the last time he'll ever cross her path. She ignored him like she did his calls and continued walking towards her home, that's when he saw her, in a haste he approached her demanding the reason why she ignored his calls and texts. ”Wait, did you spend the night out?” He just realized. ”And what part of "we are over" is it that you don't understand? You have no right to know what I do with my life, at nights or whatnot.” Jessica snapped at him. ”Sica, I'm sorry, how many times do I have to apologize?” he frustratedly ran his fingers into his short hair. ”Zero times because you're just wasting your time and mine right now, I'm a very tolerable person, I've endured so much from you and I get the final say, if you know me as you pretend you do, then you should know that I don't back down on my words, please just go, I have work to do.” Jessica sent him away and started walking towards her door. ”But, Jessi...” he started, getting her stopping on her track. ”Please go, or do you want to spend your day behind bars? I won't hesitate to lock you up for ual harassment.” She threatened, he knows better than to piss her off more than he'd already done, so he left as quietly as he came, not wanting to experience hellsica. With a sigh, she searched for her keys in her bag, and unlocked her door. 'Home sweet home.' She thought with a smile, without wasting any more time, she walked into her bathroom and shut the door. Getting under the shower and turning the warm water on, Jessica began planning her day and tried to figure out where to best utilize it. But above all she can't seem to clear her head off the cute girl that made her night a memorable one. ”Taeyeon.” she whispered, tasting the name on her lips one last time. ~~~~ ”Congratulations, buddy now you're a chief, wow it's unbelievable.” Sooyoung congratulated her best friend. ”Yeah, I know right, I couldn't believe it myself, promotion is what I least expected.” Jessica said felling giddy with her new position and all. ”You deserve that for knocking those thugs that kept terrorizing the province, without you we couldn't have done it.” Sooyoung praised. ”Oh well I'm flattered.” Jessica said with a cute pout. "Oh no it's sincere, I swear.” Sooyoung smiled. ”Okay, okay thanks.” Jessica said as her friend, colleague and partner bids her goodbye, retiring to her office. Jessica sighed heavily, her office was turned into a mini flower garden, all sent by family and well wishers. She sat on her seat deciding on what to do with the bunch of bouquets she'd received so far, when a knock came at her door, followed by a little cracking of the door, rising her head, the officer was greeted with another bouquet set, she sighed for the umpteenth time. ”Oh god, would you guys stop bringing in flowers? I swear I have no where to put them.” She said not expecting to see the face of Taeyeon peeping from behind the bouquet. ”Hi,” Taeyeon started, looking around the spacious office that is filled with flowers. ”Well damn, looks like someone beats me to it.” Taeyeon finished with slumped shoulders. ”No one beat you to anything Taeyeon, welcome! please have a sit.” Jessica gestured towards an arm chair, and Taeyeon sat placing the flowers on top of the rest before hers. ”Congrats, for the position.” Taeyeon started. ”And thanks for going dancing with me the other night.” She smiled charmingly. ”No, thank you, you showed me respect you know, and that means the world to me right now.” Jessica said walking towards her and seating opposite the younger girl.
