Yoongi and Jungkook are close friends, best friends maybe.

But Jungkook doesn't feel the same way, he loves his hyung more than anyone could imagine.

They are quite an odd pair if an outsider might say. Yoongi having this intimidating aura even with his (not so) small body, maybe it is because of his uninterested eyes and low, raspy voice and on the other hand, Jungkook is a tall, (a bit) muscular giddy kid always smiling and ready to meet people and make new friends. People might say they look so different but again, it's only from an outsider's point of view. The duo has this unbreakable bond over music, photography, fashion style, belief and even if they have different opinions on some things they can always agree to disagree with no hard feelings.

Maybe it was because they were friends since they were young, back when they still lived with their parents in the province, back when they attended the same school until Yoongi decided to move to Seoul to study Music but that didn't stop their friendship when Yoongi encouraged him to follow him to the same university since it is well known for its Music curriculum.

Jungkook stayed in the univeristy's dorm while Yoongi rented an apartment with a small studio after he graduated and was able to find work. Sometimes (or most of the time) Jungkook stayed over eating dinner, playing games and sometimes listening to Yoongi's music. He really looked up to his hyung because Yoongi seemed to always know what to do and always know what Jungkook wants or needs. Sometimes it amazes Jungkook how Yoongi knows him so well but still has no idea how he felt for him but maybe he prefers it that way anyway because it might be awkward and Jungkook has no plans of breaking their bond over his silly feelings.

"Hyung, that was the best lamb skewers I've ever eaten" Jungkook looked so happy and contented when they stepped out from a small restaurant not too far from his university.

"I know. With the amount you ate and the amount I needed to pay, how could I not know?" Yoongi was looking at Jungkook on his side with a playful smile.

"Was it my fault though? That you brought me there?" This kid is really cheeky

"That's why this is the last time"

"Nah, you're lying. You'll bring me there again" Jungkook was still all smiles as he adjusted his backpack and slipped his arms on both straps.

"I know"

"Hyung, can I go over to your place? I had a long day and I've been in a bad mood since my 2nd class"

"Why do you think I brought you to that restaurant? I knew it as soon as I saw your face when I picked you up"

They were almost at Yoongi's building when Yoongi turned to the other street.

"Hyung this is not the way to your house?" Jungkook was confused trying to catch Yoongi's eyes

"I know, I just wanted to go to the mart to buy a few things"

It was late September and the weather was perfect for a walk and admire the night sky with different lights coming from the buildings.

"Hyung, can I wait for you here outside? I wanna take some pictures. Oh and buy me banana milk!" He can never say no to banana milk no matter how full he is.

"I know. You're the only person I know who drinks that everyday" Yoongi shook his head and walked towards the entrance

"Because I'm your only friend" Jungkook teased which earned him a glare from the older

Jungkook was still taking photos of the saturated buildings when Yoongi got out from the mart so he just stood there, leaning on the wall to wait for the younger to finish. He doesn't call him, he doesn't distrub him, he patiently waits for him to finish.

"Hyung! View here is so beautiful, I took a lot of photos" The younger said when he turned around and saw Yoongi looking through his phone, waiting for him

"I know. You looked like you were having the time of your life" Yoongi rolled his eyes when Jungkook chuckled on his statement

"I really love that you always wait for me to finish when I try to take photos. You never rush me." Jungkook said before he grabbed the plastic bags Yoongi was carrying.

"I know how much you like taking them so why would I take that away from you? And let me carry those it's heavy" Yoongi was trying to get it back from Jungkook's hand

"That's why I'm helping, I'm a nice person with a good heart who helps people, you know? And I'm strong don't you see my muscles? I worked hard to get them" Jungkook raised his eyebrows when he looked at Yoongi and tried to flex his muscles

"Yeah yeah I know, whatever Kook" Yoongi looked at Jungkook shaking his head with disbelief and walked ahead of Jungkook

"And I don't want my small hyung to get too tired" Jungkook stopped walking when Yoongi immediately turned around to look at him with an annoyed expression which Jungkook laughed at knowing Yoongi was just playing along.

Jungkook placed the plastic bags on the kitchen counter and Yoongi opened 1 of the plastic bags to get the banana milk and immediately put it in the freezer

"You really know me so well, huh?" Jungkook still gets amazed when Yoongi does things for him automatically, no words needed, Yoongi already knows it.

"You're so dramatic, I've known you almost my entire life how could I not pick that up. Now go to the living room while I arrange these first" Yoongi had already started organizing the things he bought when Jungkook decided to follow his hyung and go to the living room. He felt so warm that the small gesture of Yoongi putting his drink in the freezer is still on his mind. It was always the smallest details that Yoongi knows about Jungkook that makes him fall more in love than he already is. It might be an endless pit but he doesn't mind.

15 mins. Jungkook likes his banana milk in the freezer for 15 mins before he drinks it. He likes it really cold with little clumps of iced milk melting in his mouth when he drinks it. He was about to stand up from the couch to get his drink when Yoongi suddenly appeared on his side and handed him his drink, cover already peeled.

Jungkook was about to say something but Yoongi beat him to it

"I know you like to drink it after 15 mins or so in the freezer" Yoongi said as he sat down beside Jungkook leaving a few inches of space between them. Yoongi said it so nonchalantly like it was the most common knowledge there is but to Jungkook it did something to his heart.

They were watching a variety show when Jungkook glanced at the wall clock. "Hyung, I know you're tired but can you help me please write my essay. It's about political issues and you know how bad I am at essays and politics. Please please please."

"I know. I don't want to remember your paper when I first saw it years ago. It was so bad I didn't know how to feel."

"Hey, I was so young back then. I improved - I think- but I still hate it. I hate doing it so you gotta help me" Jungkook was ready to get down on his knees to beg for the older to help him.

"I know, I know. Get your things."

In a matter of seconds, Jungkook was already on the floor with his legs spread under the coffee table, his notebook and pencil ready. Yoongi was still on the couch shifting to a more comfortable position and lowered the volume of the TV. From time to time Yoongi asks Jungkook to read what he wrote so far so he can correct them and add more to Jungkook's writing. He asks Jungkook about his opinions and knowledge about the topic and helps him to arrange it to paragraphs.

It took Jungkook almost 40 mins to finish his essay but he was satisfied with what he wrote. He doesn't really asks Yoongi for help on his school works but when it comes to essays, Yoongi is his go-to. Jungkook always believed that Yoongi has his way with words and how he expresses it. Sometimes Jungkook feels butterflies in his stomach when he talks with Yoongi even if it wasn't really something special.

"Hyung, I wanna stay over and watch a movie. I don't have classes till the afternoon so I don't have to wake up early" Jungkook was putting his things back in his backpack then stood up to look at Yoongi as if asking for approval.

"Yeah, I know your schedule and it's pretty late anyway. Wash up first and I'll set it up" Yoongi got up to get his laptop to connect it to his TV.

"I wanna watch-"

"Shut up, I know what you wanna watch. You've been telling me to buy it. Now don't be lazy and wash up" Jungkook just laughed and went to the bathroom. Yoongi's other friends always asks him whenever they come over if he is secretly hiding another person in his house because there's always an extra- extra pair of house slippers, extra mattress, extra toothbrush in the bathroom, extra bath towel hanging, extra pillows and sometimes extra food they know Yoongi will not eat. Jungkook stays over all the time that he decided to just buy it for Jungkook instead of the younger always bringing his own toiletries whenever he comes.

Yoongi was waiting for him to finish so he can wash up and they can start watching the movie. Jungkook turned off the lights in the living room before walking to the couch and smiled widely when he saw the movie he's been eyeing and telling Yoongi to watch it with him. He opened the table lamp beside the couch and sat down feeling comfortable, thinking how it will feel if they lived together. He wasn't sure if he will still be able to keep his feelings hidden if he can see Yoongi everyday, sleeping at the same house every night. He never really thought of asking Yoongi to take him in anyway, sometimes he just likes to imagine things as his ideas will always just be there where it is- in his imagination, and his feelings- deep inside his heart.

He was brought back to reality when he felt a weight on his left and saw Yoongi in his Pjs handing him a pillow from the bedroom and trying to sit in a comfortable position.

"Hyung, you look cute with that pajama"

"I know. I'm always cute" Jungkook just chuckled at Yoongi's response and reached for the remote control that was placed between them. Yoongi pressed play and soon they focused on the movie. Having little conversations here and there about the characters or their predictions of what's next to happen make Jungkook feel so domesticated. He knows his hyung sees him just as a younger brother since Yoongi can never return his feelings but it's okay. Rather than nothing, he'd prefer to be that younger brother for him.

It was only a few more minutes before the movie ends when Jungkook felt something move near his left shoulder. He turned to see Yoongi sleeping with his head almost touching him. Jungkook quickly reached for the remote control to stop the movie so it won't wake up the older. He closed the laptop and the TV and stared at the love of his life sleeping soundly.

It was rare for Jungkook to watch his hyung sleep since Yoongi stays so late most of the time and Jungkook often falls asleep first. He took this chance to take his time to look at his lovely hyung beside him, eyes closed and lips slightly parted with the warm orange light making his features look so soft. Jungkook smiled, contented that he gets to see this side of Yoongi- serene, soft and vulnerable only for him. He leaned towards Yoongi a little and lifted his hand, tempted to slightly move his bangs which covered his eyes so Jungkook can fully see his sleeping face but immediately stopped when Yoongi shifted a little, slightly raising his head. Jungkook couldn't stop smiling as he looked at his hyung with adoration and full of love but Yoongi's peaceful sleep is affecting him and felt his own eyes closing. With one last look, he sat back, still a little bit facing his hyung, he closed his eyes and said in the softest voice he could make "I love you, hyung"

Jungkook almost fell asleep as soon as he let out those words until he felt something soft on his lips and he immediately opened his eyes only to see Yoongi kissing him.

Before Jungkook can even say something Yoongi gave him a loving smile

"I know"
