A deadly plague has run through civilization, wreaking havoc and chaos on people and causing them to move south. One survivor and remainder of the population, Jeongyeon, is the daughter of a rocket mechanic. In those days, rockets were used for rituals known as space burials: sending the souls of the passed-on back up to the stars.

While living in the remainders of a rocket factory, Jeongyeon stumbles across another young survivor who reveals herself to be a Witch, one of the people in charge of space burials, who had been in a cryogenic sleep during the onslaught of the Plague. The Witch carries a heavy burden, a promise; the promise to return all the souls, including the ones of her elders, to the Cosmos.  

This is a story of friendship, survival, understanding the role of life and death, grief, and more. 

Heavily based on the indie game, "Opus: Rocket of Whispers" by Sigono. However, it does not follow the exact same storyline. I really loved the game and the soundtrack is phenomenal. Really sets a relaxing, but also a bit of a haunting mood. Please consider playing this game.

This story will have some very dialogue-heavy moments, so if you're not really into reading two characters' back and forth exchanges, then you might not like this. I'm not defining this story as exactly something you won't like (in fact, I really hope you do like it!) but I want to help you out in your story choosing process. :) There will definitely be moments of adventure, angst, survivalist etc...
