Donghae's Pv

I woke up to hearing arguing in the kitchen. Its the same thing every day.  My grandmother always shouting at my younger sister. I feel so bad for her, because most of the time she hasn't done anything wrong. I live with my mother, younger sister and brother and my grandmother. My dad died years ago. They told me it was a car accident, but found out later that it was in fact suicide. So I grew to hate him over time, how could he leave us like that. 

I got up, went to the bathroom to get ready for the day. Passing by my younger sisters room, I could hear her crying. My grandmother always picked on her and favored my younger brother.  During meals together she would always tell her to stop eating but feed my younger more food and extra. So my mom would always try and do the same to my sister so she would feel better. But it was so obvious that she did not like my sister. The whole thing was because my mother had and affair and got pregnant with my sister and since my dad committed suicide right after she got born, my grandmother hated her and my sister for it, blaming them for her son dying. I was studying in the London at that time, so I did not witness any of this, I did not even know my mom was pregnant. My grandmother came to live with us after my dad died to keep an eye on us as she says. She don't trust my mother. Even thou my sister was not her granddaughter it was still unfair to treat her like that, is not her fault for being born. 

I skipped breakfast to not deal with my grandmother, I know I would start arguing with her too because of the way she treated my sister.  I went to the coffee shop right next to my university, waiting for my best friend Siwon. We been friends since we were 10 years. He was rich, and a player. Changing partners every two days or so and always hitting on anything walking. But deep down he was a goofy nice guy.  Siwon came stumbling in and sat next to me

"You look like you are close to death" I said to him chuckling 

"don't talk so loudly, I'm hungover" He said in a low voice

"You need to stop partying in the weekdays, we got exams coming up in few weeks"  I said shaking my head

"I know"  he said huffing.  Then we just chatting about nothing really until we had to go for class.

As we were walking down towards the class, some woman came, she looked classy but was far from it, she grabbed my hair and started yelling at me, saying to leave her boyfriend alone.  And as what Siwon does best, he ran away to hide, this was not the first time this had happened .  I tried to calm her down but she would not let go and was starting to hit me, I did not want to hit her so tried to protect myself and push her away but her constantly grabbing my hair was honestly painful, then suddenly I was pulled away by someone and he stood between me and her.

"Don't touch my boyfriend" he said stern, I'm not in my right mind and did not take in his what he just said.

"Then tell him to stay away from my boyfriend" she said back

"We are just friends, like brothers" I said peeking from behind this unknown person. He was around my hight maybe a little bit taller, had Black hair, his body was slender but you could tell he was fit. 

"I don't believe you"  she yelled back trying to grabbed my again, when he slapped away her hand.

"Then you should catch your boyfriend and ask him directly, not harass someone els"  And he turned to me and grabbed my hand and dragged me away. 

We walked for a bit before he let go, and asked

"are you okay?"

I just nodded, and then he just left, without saying anything more, I was about to yell after him asking for his name but the bell rang, so I knew I was late so I ran to class. 

Getting into class, I saw Siwon already there with his arms around some other chick.  I went to him and hit the back of his head and sat next to him.

"" I said, and he smiled, 

"but you survived"  

"what ever" I shot back.  During class my mind wandered back to the stranger helping me, regretting not asking his name. And then it hit me, he said boyfriend and the room starting to go around for me, boyfriend I thought to myself and I spaced out.I'v never dated before to be honest.  Got dragged out of it when the bell rang and the class had already ended.

The day went by without a problem. When I got home, it was only my grandmother there, so I went straight to my room. 

When dinner came, my mom was worried because my younger sister had not come back home yet and was hours since she should have been home. I went out to look for her, and asked her friends, but they all said they walked home together but she said she had to do something so she left. I ran back home to double check the house incase she was hiding in there, but she was really no where to be found.  They had no idea where she went.  My mom had called the police and as they were about to start searching for her when she came home with some guy,  my mom ran to hug her, both of them were crying. And walking closer I saw the same guy that helped me with her. Who is this guy showing up everywhere.  My grandmother started yelling at her right away,

"Enough!" I yelled at her, making her shut up, and so she left the room. After they had stopped crying, my sister turned to the guy and said

"thank you" Which made my mom aware of him, think she forgot he was there, he smiled and got down on his knees to talk to her,did nto hear what he said to her but  she smiled and went upstairs.  My mom was not sure if he had helped her or if he did anything to her but seeing her smile would mean he did not harm her. So I said 

"Mom you should invite him in" 

She nodded, still clearly shaken up, and the police left to. He came in, and sat down, we offered something to drink but he politely said no. 

"what happened" my mom asked carefully. He looked at my mom then me, and sighed

"I found her by the bridge further up the road, she was going to jump, I caught her the last minuet " Both my mom was shocked hearing that. And he was studying our face, and tears started to run down my moms face. 

"Thank you for saving her" I said in a low voice and he looked at me and we locked eyes for few seconds before he asked 

"She is 10 years old, how can she be thinking about jumping from a bridge?"  carefully, and noticed some sadness in his voice.  

"Its my fault" my mom said crying, and I

"No is not mom"  

"Not my place to say, but maybe you should get her some counseling" he said. My mom nodded.  Then he sat closer to my mom, and toke her hand,

"she talked to me a bit, and she loves you very much and she knows you love her too, so no its not your fault"  My mom choked up from crying only nodded.  He got up to leave and I followed him.

"thank you" I said. He looked me in the eyes it was so intense it felt like he was looking into my soul, and for some reason my heartbeat started beating faster, then he  said

"my duty to help, have a good evening"  I only nodded because it felt like I had lost my voice,  and went back inside. When I got inside  I cursed myself for not asking his name again.  His eyes lingered in my mind. 

I went up to talk to my sister.  But she had already fallen asleep and my mom was sleeping next to her holding her. Went to check on my brother but grandmother was with him, sleeping too.  

It had been a long day so I went to bed early, falling asleep thinking about him. The stranger that showed up twice in a day.

Hyukjae's pv : 

I walked in my house and I thought what a day, only been here for a day and already so much happening. I was walking home when I saw young girl, crying standing on top of the bridge, about to jump when I ran to stop her. She cried for a while in my arms, until she opened up to me. Talking about how her grandmother made hell for her and her mom, so she felt they would be better off without her. I mean how much mistreatment did she get to think that far. She is only 10, her whole life ahead of her.  Got surprised that her brother was the same guy I helped earlier
