A Few Days Later    

 

 

Hoya had gotten a tip from Hodong that Kriesha was in the company building doing her vocal practice. He stopped by a café and bought some drinks for the people in the company and then headed to the studio.

 

“Good afternoon everybody! I brought some drinks!” Hoya greeted as he entered the room.

 

“Uwahh, thank you! You’re an angel!” Mina, one of the company’s vocal coaches.

 

Hoya shrugged his shoulders and smiled “I know”

 

“Oppa, don’t you have a schedule today?” Kriesha said as she walked towards him

 

“I had one this morning and that’s about it” Hoya said and handed her an iced coffee “This one is for you”

 

“Gomawoyo” she smiled

 

But when she took a sip of her iced coffee it tasted like the salt pans of Bolivia which made her cough up a storm. Hoya bursted out laughing and revealed that he had put 6 tablespoons of salt in her drink. Out of spite, Kriesha took the drink in hands and drank it, but it turned out to be a cup of soy sauce. Hoya fell on the floor laughing and so did everyone in the room.

 

“You’re unbelievable!” Kriesha couldn’t help but laugh as well

 

Just then a cameraman entered the room, he had been filming the entire thing from the room’s blind spot.

 

“Kriesha, look at the camera and say welcome to today’s episode of I AM HOYAAAA” Hoya spread out his arms

 

“Ahh, I should’ve known” She exclaimed and then waved at the camera

 

“I’ve been pranking people all day” Hoya

 

“You’re so mean” Kriesha

 

He put an arm around her shoulder and pulled her closer to the camera “Everyone this is my lovely hoobae, Kriesha Chu!”

 

“Ne, annyeong haseyo! I’m chu chu chu Kriesha Chu imnida!” Kriesha

 

“Please support her new album Like Paradise” Hoya

 

The two of them were making funny faces at the camera when Minju entered the room.

 

“Minjuuuuu!” Kriesha ran towards her and gave her a squeeze

 

“Ah! Unnie! You’re too strong. Did you miss me that much?” Minju

 

“Mm! I missed you that much. Are you thirsty? Wanna have a drink?” Kriesha flashed Hoya a naughty look

 

“Yeah, sure! It’s so hot today, gosh” Minju

 

Kriesha gave her the salty drink and she immediately spit it out like a water fountain.

 

“What the hell is this? Ocean water??” Minju

 

Kriesha burst out laughing while Hoya pretended to be a gentleman and offered her his drink.

 

“Here, you can have mine” He smirked

 

And like the innocent lamb that she is, she took it and gulped it down supposedly to relieve her tastebuds of the saltiness, but she got soy sauce instead. Her two sunbaes threw a fit of laughter and clapped around like a couple of seals.

 

“What the hell?! What is wrong with you two? Why would you drink these??” Minju

 

“Welcome to today’s episode of I AM HOYA!” Kriesha and Hoya

 

“Yah, you caught on real quick!” Hoya complimented Kriesha

 

“Of course! I had to pass on the prank to avenge myself” Kriesha

 

Minju faced the camera and shook her head “Everyone, these people are evil, my sunbaes are evil. Hoya sunbaenim is the evil mastermind, don’t follow his bad example”

 

Kriesha gave her a side hug and said “Mianhae”

 

“You two better watch your backs, because I’m definitely going to have my payback” Minju glared

 

“Wah, scary maknae. PDnim, if we go missing you know who to blame” Hoya teased

 

The cameraman put the camera down and said “I think we have enough footage for today. I’ll be going now”

 

“Okay. Thank you for your hard work!” Hoya shook his hand

 

“Yes, thank you for the oranges as well! My wife will definitely enjoy them” Cameraman

 

“Take care” Hoya waved goodbye

 

“So what are you gonna do now?” Kriesha

 

“Are you done with your vocal practice?” Hoya

 

“Yeah, we’re pretty much done” Kriesha

 

“Would you… like to watch a movie with me?” Hoya

 

“Movie? What movie?” Minju jumped between them

 

“Uhh… I think Déjà vu is already showing in cinemas” Hoya

 

“I don’t like scary films so much” Minju

 

“How about we just go to a themepark?” Kriesha

 

“Okay, which one?” Hoya

 

“Lotte?” Minju

 

“Hold your horses Minju, it’s your turn for vocal practice” Mina

 

“Ah Mina ssi, can’t you let me go just this once?” Minju

 

“No” Mina

 

“How about we just postpone it? let’s have it this evening, 7pm” Minju

 

“Are you the teacher here? No. Just sit this one out, you’re always itching to debut yet you want to spend your time having fun. Leave them be, they’ve been busy promoting so they deserve some leisure time” Mina

 

Minju whined and looked at Kriesha and Hoya but they couldn’t really help her, Mina’s a touch cookie.

 

“We’ll bring you along next time” Hoya

 

“We’ll send you pictures” Kriesha

 

“No thanks, I don’t want to see pictures of you two being all sweet” Minju pouted

 

Hoya pinched both of her cheeks and said “Aigoo, our maknae is always whining. If you keep pouting like that you’re gonna look like a duck”

 

“psh!” Minju pushed his hands away “Just go, I don’t want to see your faces” she joked.

 

“Bye bye” Kriesha waved as Hoya lead her out of the room

 

Then they got to his car and he opened the passenger door for her.

 

“Wait, aren’t we going to disguise or hide our faces? People might recognize us” Kriesha

 

“I gotchu baby chu!” He pulled out 2 scream masks from the backseat “SNSD wore this when they went to an amusement park”

 

“Really?!” Kriesha

 

“Works like magic” Hoya

 

So they drove around the city wearing scream masks, and when they got to the amusement park’s entrance they showed their faces to the security guards and bribed them.

 

“Alright, what should we do first?” Hoya

 

“Let’s take a picture” Kriesha said and pulled out her Polaroid camera “say kimchii~”

 

“Kimchi” they both smiled and a Polaroid film popped out

 

“Let’s go on rides that will make us scream, since we’re wearing scream masks” Kriesha

 

“Okay! Let’s go!” Hoya grabbed her hand and they ran towards the gyro swing

 

They went from one crazy ride to another until they’ve ridden on all the thrill rides. Finally, it was time for some relaxation. They headed over to Songpa Naru Park and took off their masks. There were very few people at the park, so they didn’t need to hide their faces.

 

“Two peach crepes please” Hoya

 

“Aigoo, you two look so cute! Reminds me of me and my husband when we were younger” The street vendor giggled and the both of them blushed, too shy to correct her.

 

“You should take good care of her. Women are like decorations at a store, beautiful to look at but very fragile” the street vendor said as she handed them their crepes

 

“I will definitely take care of her” Hoya smiled at her and took Kriesha’s hand.

 

He lead her to a bench that was placed under a bunch of cherry blossom trees facing the lake.

 

“What was that about?” Kriesha asked afraid to look him in the eye

 

“What?” He acted innocent

 

“What you just told the old lady” Kriesha

 

“Ah…what about it?” Hoya

 

She didn’t know what to say, she was afraid of asking anymore questions, he might think she was assuming stuff.

 

– Kriesha He probably meant he’ll take care of me as a hoobae or younger sister thought

 

“I meant it you know” he took a deep breath “And I don’t just plan on taking care of you”

 

That made her turn her head real quick, and by the look in his eyes, he wasn’t making stuff up.

 

“I plan on loving you as well”
