A Tale of Two Kings

Description

This story follows two young men, Jungkook and Taehyung, from different sides of the world rising to the pinnacle of success from the lowest depths of earth. Jungkook hailed from Gaya. Taehyung hailed from Baekje. Both boys knew not of one another, but their destinies would soon cross paths. They grew up in a time where war was common, and they saw their family, friends, and closest people sent off to fight wars for their kings. This system was how things were, it was as if nothing could be done to reverse the order of how things operated. Through the tragedies they experienced and the lessons they learned in their life, both men knew that they had the power to change the way things could be done to improve the lives of those they loved the most.

Foreword

This is a fictional piece of work based on historical Korea. This is NOT historically accurate. This story takes around 100 AD, around the same time as the actual Korean Three Kingdoms period, but the events do not correlate.

Though the peninsula of Korea is now divided in two (North and South), it was once divided into kingdoms. There was once a time in Korean history in which the peninsula was dominated by four kingdoms, Goguryeo, Baekje, Gaya, and Silla. Goguryeo controlled the largest territory and thus became the greater of the four. However, this story does not involve the Goguryeo kingdom and instead focuses on the three smaller kingdoms.

Although this is supposed to be a novel, the formatting would be more similar to that of a play in order to help the reader better visualize the story. There is a lot of dialogue and this format worked best in my opinion.
